Hmmm...causing trouble...I don't think I've smeared anybody that posts here. I also don't think I've said anything here that was a lie.
As far as message boards, if they're not interesting, I don't go back. If they are - and there are a lot of interesting subjects here - then I go back and participate.

Jon1856, I looked and Looked and LOOKED. I even went to SALLYRIDE.COM - Dr. Ride is a personal hero of mine whom I heard speak at Gaucher College many years ago - all to no avail. I thought that people here might know, and maybe somebody does. Thanks for the suggestion. Ever been to the Houston Space Center? Cool place - not as neat as the Air and Space Museum in DC, but still cool. Sorry for the digression.

Prune': Please do not take this the wrong way/incorrectly but if I was able to locate information that you did not have within 5 seconds and you have made this matter a personal search perhaps you should spend less time on this board.....One of my pet peaves is when someone askes others for answers when they should be able to and willing to find them for themselves....and I did your research while catching up on my own personal e-mails and reviewing this group.......

I really appreciate the info, jon1856. I just never got up the nerve to write Dr. Ride or NASA or Stanford or Swarthmore and ask the question, so I just looked around trying to find the answer. For most people, if you look hard enough, you can find it on the web in their biography, or in the writings of someone who knew them in college. Again...I'll let you know what the results are. When she spoke at Gaucher, she was funny, down-to-earth, bright, and a thoroughly delightful speaker. She was given a large painting of a sailboat on the Chesapeake Bay. - Prunetacos
