I know there's no way they could've changed Open House to today because of the football game, but the weather looks gorgeous outside. Yesterday was definitely a day I'll remember though. We all got drizzled on a little bit, and once the sun set, we were all freezing, but overall, I had a great time. After spending almost 6 hrs with my group (and the other groups that travelled with us), I definitely feel like I'll be able to walk away with some new friends even if I don't get a bid

I had no idea what to expect in each house, so I was pleasantly surprised at the process. The only thing I didn't like was that the rounds were so short! Some of the houses I felt like I could've stayed and talked with some of the girls all night haha. But I guess that's a good thing. Hopefully they felt the same. But anyway, my thoughts on the houses:

Sevens - It was a great place to start the day. They were so cute and everyone in my group remarked how they reminded us of skittles. This house stayed as one of my favorites all night. I had really easy conversation with the girls I talked to, even if it did feel a bit rushed.

Joe's - This was the only house I knew anything about prior to rush, and I went in really wanting to like it. While the girls were really nice, it felt disorganized. Their song/cheer was longer than the others, so we didn't have much time to talk in this house. I felt really confortable with one of the girls I talked to, but the other was a bit awkward. I'd definitely give them another chance though. It all comes down to who you talk with sometimes.

Chip - I was kind of intimidated at first because a lot of the girls looked like they were "bred" to be in a sorority (not meaning that in a negative way at all), but the girls I talked to were all really nice. I am actually friends with one of the girl's Big, and another girl, we found out we have 3 classes together. I walked away really liking this group too.

Citizens - This house seemed like a lot of fun. Even the house itself looked really bright and cheerful. They had a lot of energy, and were all really adorable. I had good conversation with all of the girls, and one of my really good friends is in this house. I can't get their cheer out of my head haha.

Paige - I was a little disappointed by this house also. I feel bad saying it though because the girls were all really nice. I ended up knowing one of them. But there were a few awkward silences with the girls. I felt like I had to grab at things to talk about, which I didn't at the other houses. I'd give them a second chance though of course.

Pepper - I was a little intimidated at first because of what some of the other girls were saying before we went in. I had really good conversation with all of the girls though. I especially related to one girl and her big. The whole chapter seemed like a really nice group of girls.

Hudson - This group had a rough start with me. Even before their song started, they had a lot of us looking like "". Once I actually got to sit down and talk, I decided I liked the house overall. I really clicked with two of girls. The girls all seemed to have a lot of different interests, which was cool since they'd all bring something new.

Antik - This house was a little too intense for me. Although we had gotten used to all the banging on the windows right before we go into a house, none of us were expecting a group to actually break a window! They had a lot of energy, while I appreciated the fact that they were trying to get us all excited since it was late, I think we were all a little too worn down. The girls were really nice though and apologetic, I'd definitely go back and give the house another chance...hopefully earlier in the day.

Diesel - This group was fun. They still looked excited without being manic. I had really good conversation at this house and actually ended up knowing two or three girls in this house also. I don't know what it was, but I just had an overall good vibe about this house. I'd love to meet more people here. They were a nice way to end the evening.

End the end, we had to rank our Top 7, and then 8 and 9. My top picks had some ties, but end the end, this is how I ranked them:
1. Citizens
1. Sevens
1. Diesel
1. Chip
1. Pepper
1. Hudson
1. Antik
8. Joe's
9. Paige

I'm so nervous about getting my invites tomorrow. I felt like I really clicked with a lot of girls, but my biggest fear is not getting invited back anywhere haha. Hopefully they clicked with me as well. Wow, this post is getting really long! Thanks for reading down this far

Good luck to you too, hun! I'm glad to see that you're enjoying yourself, and I hope everything works out the way you want it to. BTW, I heard about the window incident, and I was just mortified for those poor girls. I can't imagine being the PNM and seeing it!

I just got back from Round 1. Today was definitely a lot different from Friday (aside from the weather). I was asked back to 4 houses today. I was a little bit disappointed to see that some of the ones I felt I really clicked with had cut me, but my Rho Chis told me that I did very well for a junior. Some of the freshmen and sophomores only had 3 invites, so I'm not going to mope about it, especially since I was open to all of my choices.

Hudson - On Friday, I felt like I had clicked with this house, so I was a little disappointed that I didn't have solid conversations with any of the girls I talked with today. I feel like it could've been ME who was off though, since it was the first house after receiving our invites. Their skit was cute.

Diesel - I could definitely see myself as a sister here! I really, really liked the house last time and ranked it highly, but they totally sold me today. I had great conversation again, and a couple of the girls from Friday remembered me and came over to say hi. Their skit was adorable and used two of my favorite current songs. I also love the way they send us off. I go "awww" every time lol

Joe's - I like the girls at this house, and I had a lot in common with the girls I talked to today. For some reason though, I just don't feel like I'm connecting. I could see myself being friends with a lot of these girls, but I can't see myself fitting into their sisterhood...if that makes sense. I liked them much better today than yesterday though. I loved their setup...it was a lot different from the other houses I visited.

Paige - I was genuinely surprised that I was asked back to this house since I didn't feel like I connected at all last time, but they really impressed today. I clicked with the girls I talked to and they had a really good skit. They used one of the same songs as "Diesel" and totally rocked it. I had written this house off yesterday, but they're on my radar now.

In the end, I ranked them as follows:
Diesel
Joe's
Paige
Hudson

Since we can go back to 5 houses tomorrow, they're all obviously in my top group. I'm just SO nervous now since I have fewer houses to invite me back. Hopefully, I'll keep the ones I've got

Funny how the next parties can reveal the positive sides of houses who may have not been able to put their best foot forward....Good for you for going back to all.

I love your choice of aliases even I know absolutely nothing about names of jeans (my kid is a chino/skirt wearing prep)!
