Anyways. You should ride your bike from Huntington beach to Santa Monica. Then you'll say. "Goddamn I wish I had a car"
The way I look at it, I'm actually helping the "driving only" people out. I'm not buying up gas and driving up costs, and not contributing to traffic jams. I have a mate who rode his bike from Pittsburgh to San Fran, then headed south and rode to Guatemala....and then back. It's not as crazy as it may seem. Paniers and a little bit of Butt Butter and I'm right as rain.

Remember kids: the revolution will not be motorized!

If anyone wants cheap gas, don't come here. We have the highest average in the country.

Go to Utah. They've got the cheapest.
Gracias, turned the big 30 on the 13th.

As for biodiesel, ive studied up on it and Ive got a pretty unlimited supply of used cooking oil here at the restaurant, but they tell me that with bio you have to change your fuel filter more often on it, and my damn filters for my truck are 80 bucks a piece and the system is rough getting back primed so im out.

And then, there's ethanol... which in a perfect world would result in "one for me," (glug glug) "one for you" (car)... but that would give new meaning to drinking and driving....

And I'm with Bobby on the driving-- H-Beach to Santa M is at least 45 miles!!! No offense, PA, but I'll skimp on the Butt Butter and stick to my creature comforts. And yes, I am a republican.

45 miles? Jeez, that's not bad at all. That's 12 miles shorter than the bike leg of the Pineman Half Iron.

WHO THE HECK USES BUTT BUTTER?

I mean I can't even believe they sell a product with that name outside of some seedy gay sex bar in chelsea or hollywood. UGH.

Gasbuddy.com was the one i posted a long time ago.

Also, if you drive an older car which doesn't have pollution controls on it, you might get better mpg.

So we're supposed to a Pineman Half Iron twice a day to and from the office?

I can just imagine the smell...

Butt Butter= cyclists best friend. Chaffing is NOT fun in any way shape or form. I actually prefer to use Bodyglide because it is endorsed by USATriathlon (not that the name doesn't also sound like some sort of fetish product). Bodyglide/butt butter are like the duct tape of an athlete's life....wetsuit gets stuck on your feet? bodyglide. Blisters from socks? Bodyglide. Chaffing issues? Bodyglide. About the only thing you CANT do is eat it.

And I ride the 25 miles to and from job A and the 27 miles to and from job B every day of the week. I've got shower facilities and a place to store clean clothes/shower stuff too. And they don't mind me keeping my bike in the office or coming in with my cleats still on. There's 3 other triathletes and a marathoner in job A and job B is full of rock climbers and other outside people.

It only really sucks when it snows, simply because the salt is REALLY difficult to get off of your bike. Studded tires take care of the ice, but man, the salt SUCKS, especially if you get stuck behind the truck.

While this may sound good, all of a sudden the Corn Product Price for adding is going up. And Why! It is renewable!

Ks. is planning @ 19 Ethonal Plants in Ks. this year.
