I was shocked and saddened to hear of Soror Parker's passing.

Sorors is there a link to the obituary or any articles about Soror Marjorie's passing available? I am truly saddened to hear this news, especially after having such a wonderful time this weekend celebrating National Founders' Day.

Soror, thank you for posting the obit. It gave me another look at Soror Parker beyond her role in our sorority.

One of my chapter Sorors just now sent to the chapter an e-mail about her memories of Soror Parker:

Soror Marjorie H. Parker, our 15th Supreme Basilus, was a brilliant , dedicated, and warm hearted educator. We will all miss her; she was the faculty sponsor of Beta Lambda, the Chapter where I crossed the burning sands a long time ago (smile).

I will continue to honor her and other sorors who have gone by continuing to serve Alpha Kappa Alpha with all my heart and soul.
So shall I.

Sorors, the footprints of greatness have led the way so let's hold up our light and always step in the SPIRIT. To have been in the same sisterhood and in the same life span as Soror Parker, I am honored!

I offer my sympathies to the women of AKA on the death of former Supreme Basileus, Mrs. Parker. She was also the widow of Judge J. Barrington Parker, an Omega man, made at Beta chapter, Lincoln Univ(PA).
