Actually, Honeychile, the whistles are only a part of the single secret ritual knowledge (like our chapter submottos) but not the double or triple secret ritual knowledge.

The only thing that is coming into my mind is the Hitchikers books - but I don't think that is right. (Today is being one of those days - a kid in class said that Jonah was going to Nineveh which is is Canada when he got swallowed by a big fish. . . . )

i'm in epsilon...and we have old minutes books from the 20's and 30's and the whistle is written out in one! last year we played it on the piano...it was really cute!
