I've always wanted to break into a mall in the middle of the night, and bring a team to go into Abercrombie and iron all the clothes, sew up the seams and patch the holes. Then wait for the staff to get there in the morning, and laugh at their confusion.

Actually, if we did that they would have to change the name of the store..."Same crap as Gap, but pricier."

THANK YOU!!!!!! Someone else sees it. If I wrinkle it, FINE. Don't sell me wrinkled crap with holes in it, I can break them in my self. That's half the fun.

I hate AF. There clothes suck and they try to be all outlandish to get attention. Just shows how advertising is an easy job.

When I was younger...early teen years.... I used to DRAG my mother into Abercrombie. She hated it, complaining about how loud the music was and how badly it reeked of cologne in there. I always laughed at her and thought she was just being "old", but now I don't go into A&F for the same exact reasons!!!

I guess, more proof that you eventually become your mother as your grow up.

I hate Abercrombie, and I have yet to find one of their models that I'm attracted to. Too generic.

Showing my age:

Once upon a time, A&F was a really good store. (It's been around a long time, you know.) It was sort of somewhere between Brooks Bros. and L.L. Bean in the style of clothes carried, and the clothes were good quality. Like Brooks Bros. and L.L. Bean, it was one of the bastions of "prep" clothing.

But somewhere along the line -- 15 years ago or so -- they just started going completely crazy. Even 10 years ago, I could get a good pair of chinos there, or a nice casual shirt. No more.

I miss the old A&F.

And before that it was the store to buy all your safari gear from if you were a US president.

I've noticed that AF, Holister, and AE is going back to more conservative clothing. I actually buy a few things from those stores. Of course I'm talking about their sweaters, hoodies, and polos. Not their mini skirts and shirts that says stuff like "Do me, my boyfriend is out of town".

Quite true, but I'm glad that I can at least say that I'm not that old.

I am old enough, however, to remember one of the first Tender Vittles commercials (early 70s) where the dotty old woman had two cats: one named Abercrombie and one named Fitch.

Let's not forget what Banana Republic was like in the mid 80's to early 90's

I too used to think Abercrombie was nice and that it was a good place to buy quality casual clothes (mid 90s), but no more. Mr. AOIIBrandi can't go to work in anything A & F sells now.
