I would probably name the child, boy or girl, "Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University" - although I wish there were some universally accepted way to shorten that. Maybe "Vaj"?

Canadian universities seem to have names better suited for boys.
|
There's also Brock, Carleton, Ryerson and Wilfred Laurier for boys, and University of Victoria and University of Alberta for a girl...

You know, I am having a difficult time coming up with names for this kid.
Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology as a tribute to my husband (shortened to Rosie if it's a girl, Rhit if it's a boy)
Cornell (Nellie?)
Drake
Loyola Marymount

Elon is a Hebrew name for boys there are actually a few guys at my alma mater named that.
I still think Dartmouth takes the cake. Trying to sound all educated when in fact she probably faked all her supposed degrees

I kid you not. There is an old Baton Rouge family where the children are named after major universities. Their parents thought it would fun because their names were Stanford and Loyola. The “kids” are in their 50s and 60s now.
Boys:
Stanford, Jr.
Harvard
Duke (whose twin is T’lane)
Princeton
Cornell
Girls:
Auburn
T’lane (Tulane)
