Actually thats not the phi delt house, its the all girls dormitory. As far as I know the phi delts dont even have an official house.

Its allegheny tradition that all the greeks meet outside brooks hall on bid day for something we call run out. Basically your chapter "runs out" your new members from inside brooks lobby. Typically what happens is the whole chapter circles up with their new members and sings a few songs, then moves over to the side and lets another chapter take over the quad. Its really harmless. The Theta Chis do this thing every year where the new pledges run out of Brooks and just keep running to the house. Funny the first year or so but got old after awhile. The video is just Phi Delts way of trying something different.

Mine too!

One of my family's fondest treasures is a photograph of our sainted Mother playing in the snow (freak snowstorm in Kentucky) with her best friend and sorority sister. Both are in their swimsuits (demur one piece). The original photograph is part of the University's archives and is often displayed with respect to "Campus Life".

the pledges were completely wasted last year- i was standing on the wall watching runout next to the tcc... she turned to me and asked, are they drunk? are those just the pledges? where is the greek advisor?

for some reason they seemed to have a thing for being naked last winter. evidently they had to come all the way down senior walk and brooks walk, down to the circle in front of brooks and do chants in their boxers (in the snow) one of the nights before their initiation, as well.

hey noosh, at least it wasn't like our freshman year when all the --- --- pledges had broken bones. i betcha the brother who posted this is the same brother who posted homemade porn of he and his (still) girlfriend on the internet. surprise surprise, all the delts have it on their computers. nothing much changes there, huh?

That Dorm is beautiful! I looked at some chapterwebpages, how sweet to be pinned on the balcony!

Run-Out sounds like a great tradition, watching the videos makes me miss college days!!

It is a beautiful building I lived in there for 2 of my 4 yrs and it definitely had its moments. All the sororities have suites (consist of living rooms and kitchens) on the top floor.

So yes pinnings on the balcony do become a big deal and almost a campus event. The guys serende from the bottom as the guy climbs the railing up to the balcony to pin his gf.

ZTAMich I know how you feel, it made me miss college even more especially when you think back and go hey I lived there!

Allegheny is really beautiful, when I did the MS150 bike tour, that was our half way point and overnight stay...but geez, that HILL!!! After 80 miles of pain, that hill was the LAST thing I needed. It was pretty cool to see 1000+ bicycles stuffed in the gym though.

PS: While we were painting ourselves, some paint got spilled on the couch and carpet, and we have to pay to replace them. Please send me $211.45 for my share.
Then put a tarp down before painting.
