Has this taken the place of Seventeen's cover model contest ? I remember that younger girls could take part in that. I think the required age in the 90s was between 13-21.

I remember that when i was younger I always thought that you could only read Seventeen magazine once you turned 17...lol.
But I guess now it seems u can read it however old u are...lol, it still seems kinda wierd, at least to me, for like a 20-29 year old to be reading 17 magazine, but whatever floats ur boat! lol.

I don't know if any others are in GLOs but my friend, who's mother owns and runs this pageant, told me that one of the girls mentioned she was Miss Cheerleader of America!

Hmm, everyone I knew stopped reading Seventeen by the time they turned seventeen. Did they change who they geared the magazine toward, or is it still focused on high school students?

LOL
Good question and sugar and spice's answer makes sense. Before reading this thread, I thought the contestants on that show were in their teens. They seem to act like they're in their teens.

No.
Trust me, there aren't any "lookers" on that show.
The girls do look young and some of them act young. I agree with whomever said they are a bit disappointed in the show now that these are grown azz women.

I think she crossed the same time as my sister. Tenn. State and Vandy (where Leah goes) hadn't had lines in years so the alumane chapter in Nashville took both schools at the same time. I asked my sister yesterday and she'll come back with an answer soon.

I had no idea they were "adults." I caught like ten minutes of the show last week and quickly turned the channel. Not interesting whatsoever and "The List" comedy. I still can't believe these are grown people, crazy.
