I thought about the same thing if I have more than one boy... I have two brothers that passed and I considered naming my sons (or I could just do a first/middle name combo- it wouldn't sound right though) after my brothers, but I never considered adding Jr. to it. Neither of them had children so I guess I could, it would just be odd to have two Jr.s (or 3) in the house from the same daddy.

After watching the season 1 marathon today (in honor of Father's Day), I noticed that all three of the boys are named after the Simmons' boy. Jo Jo is named after Run, Russy is named after Russell and Diggy's real name is Daniel (Run & Russ' brother as well as their father's name). I guess it's a way to keep the legacy going.

I peeped that the other day when I looked up how long Jus and Run had been married. Knowing that, it makes the names more meaningful.

Yeah, I can't believe I watched the whole first season and never heard them call Diggy 'Daniel'. It made the whole name situation make sense<insert lightbulb icon here>.

^^That's what I'm saying!! I wouldn't name my child "Brandon, Jr.", either (is your brother named Brandon? I have a younger brother by the name of Brandon).

I found myself lookin' at the lil' boy to see if he looked like Russell. All trying to determine if somebody was [Bobby from "The Proud Family"] "Creeeeeepin, ya'llllllll" [/Bobby].

This might be my new show right after MTB3.

Okay seriously, are you me? I did not want to throw out there that Russell, Jr. might be Russell's son, but LMAO, yes, Creep creep creep.

Yes, my only sibling is Brandon. We wrestled, played Dukes of Hazard together, down the man, and that wretched Star Wars with L.D.

I'm looking at lil' Russell but I can't tell because he has that oblong head just like his daddy(Rev. Run) and his uncle-daddy (Russell).

My brothers and I used to wrestle (just straight Jimmie "Supafly" Snuka my little brother), race in the streets (which is hard to do when you're wearing jellies), play school (they didn't really want to do that but I beat it into 'em).

My favorite game was "Just to see what would happen".

Me: Brandon---stick all these pennies up you nose, you know, just to see what would happen.

Brandon: Uhhh, okay.

Me: Brandon--swallow these buttons, you know, just to see what would happen.

Brandon: Uhhhh, okay.

I love this show! I wonder if all episodes will be like that, but I enjoyed how the show opened and closed with Rev Run and Mrs. Simmons in bed a la "The Cosby Show". Rev Run is hilarious. That "DJ High School" name was too funny!

Angela Simmons was bordering too much on a brat. She's been watching way too much TV thinking she's supposed to have a fabulous party a la Super Sweet 16. Dad wasn't so cheap after all when she got the keys to a Benz. Shawty..... I wish I could've gotten keys to anything at 16...

I'm looking forward to watching this. My brother and I watched it three times over the weekend.

Was that the first show? I watched it this weekend too and thought it was very funny. They accent reminded me of my cousins from NY/NJ that used to come to Georgia every summer and we would tease them about the way they talked, then try to pick up the accent. LOL

I didn't think Angela was that bad. I thought she was a typical slightly dramatic teenager. I remember the fight my mom and I had about my sweet 16 birthday party because she wanted it to be "invitation only" and in my home town, the best parties were the ones where everyone just kinda showed up, and there were people from all of the high schools, even ones that you didn't know. I thought my mother was trying to ruin my social life and she was afraid of thugs! LOL After some dramatic histronics on my part, she agreed with me and there were no thugs (well, not real bad ones) at the party! LOL

Yeah, before that she said she was hungry.

Diggy and Russell, Jr have perpetual raspiness to their voices. I am wondering if Chloraseptic spray or a Halls would help.
