I'm scared to get something that's too small and I don't want to waste money on something that's too big. What size works best for those of you that have one already?
My 4GB iPod Nano's stats are currently something along the lines of 980 tracks, 2.5 days worth of music. Divide appropriately for what you need . . . however, it only holds about 1/4 of my music collection, so if that's a problem for you . . .

Also, I heard that you can't move songs from your iPod to your computer. Is that true? Is it true for other players?

I'm thinking of getting an iPod, a Sony Bean, or a Samsung mp3 player.
The way almost every player is set up (due to digital rights management, or DRM), moving from the player to the HD is not allowed. However, there 'may be' ways around this if you really want to look . . .

Get the iPod, btw.
