Echoing DA - yeah, there are a few "hippie" types on campus, but about as much as any other campus - maybe just a few more.

You do see a lot of "them" around Boulder, but most of them are former CU students that just never left, or wannabe students, etc...

I thought Boulder was supposedly called the People's Republic of Boulder or something. Maybe I'm thinking of the wrong place.

Although, aren't the promise keepers from there too?

People's Republic of Boulder (and Berkeley of the Rockies) is appropro - just walk the downtown mall anytime....but the vast majority of "that kind" of people are not CU students, they just live the lifestyle of the stereotyped CU student.

Promise Keepers is in Denver...the misconception of Boulder is because of the former CU football coach (McCartney?) that founded the organization.
