G. Craig Lewis returning to Columbus to speak at my church
I am happy to announce that my church (Ambassador Ministries) will be co-hosting and will be providing the facilities for G. Craig Lewis to speak on "The Truth about Hip Hop" on Friday, August 25 at 7 p.m.
And while I was supposed to be spending the evening tabulating scores for another event that same night, I will havta tell them, maybe next year. I was fascinated by the DVDs I saw of his message, and I plan to buy some if he brings them.
Heck, I will be attending a golf outing that day and I may have to skip the awards banquet to check this out (either that or "eat and run"). I am really really pumped.
ETA: Here is our church's website if you want more info:

Rain Man,
I'm glad I can finally understand one of your posts. Let me know how the event went. I have never heard of Mr. Lewis before, but he sounds interesting.

RE: Craig G. Lewis
I have seen Craig Lewis many times. The time he came to NC he pretty much used scripture and the 10 commandments to support his points. I recall him saying that all GLO idolize other gods which violates the first and second christian principals which are the 10 commandments. I think most people in the Church knew he was right but do not or didn't want to give up what they were doing because of the sense of wanting to be apart of some group. A lady asked told him all the women that were positive in her life were DSTs so it couldn't be wrong. He did reply that they would probably be strong if they were or not in a GLO but wrong is wrong. I would recommend that you do see him if he is in your area so you can decide for yourself, rather than look for answers here because I think most people on this board would think whatever they are doing as far as organizations is based off christian principals.

Who is the person on the top of the DST seal, is this not a greek goddess? One of the sites he posted showed it was:
http://www.csugreeks.com/Chapter%20P...SigmaTheta.htm
Is this not recognizing other Gods? He also said that during many rituals a person had to state that they would be under the shadow of Minerva. Is this again not recognizing another god/goddess. He also stated who the elephant represented and showed that is was in the appendix (I think A) of the rights and rituals book for DST.
The main thing I was doing was giving someone information on Mr. Lewis and how he does state truth but the best thing was to see him and get your own individual take. I, myself have seen many rights and rutual books of GLOs that friends have shown me that admitted that it was just a college thing for them, so I was able to reference many of Mr. Lewis's quotes and book cites.

We do not worship nor idolize Minerva, nor do we put her before God (use the right terminology if you are going to reference the Bible.) As the website stated she is a symbol--one depicting wisdom--nothing more, nothing less. And she is not atop our seal. BTW, did you notice that the website had our founding date wrong? Or did you believe everything you read on there, although it was not a Delta website. As for the ritualistic stuff he stated, again he is WRONG.
And the elephant in our Rights and Ritual book? Okay this made me crack up, especially since there is no such document. But just out of curiousity who did he say the elephant represented? I may need to enlighten our leaders on this.
So unless you can quote directly from Delta's or any other BGLO's official documents, I suggest you stay silent on such things and quit parroting an unreliable source.

G. Craig Lewis is the Truth
It's amazing how us young people are quick to doubt something. The majority of people that posted a comment up here believe that Craig was just stating his own "opinion" but the fact of the matter is he DID have scriptures to back everything he said about someone up. There are DVD's you can purchase. For example... he was saying that they were bringin "HOLY HIP HOP" into the church. NOw think... Hip Hop... since when has it been positive? how can you take hip hop and put it in church? now also about Tonex.... has anyone seen his DVD/album? When it first comes on he has his "Fans" emerged into fire and he comes out the sky as their salvation.. since when did anyone but the lord jesus christ come to people salvation? Now you dont have to take Craig's word for it just pick up the bible guarantee its all there. God says his people will vanish from the LACK of knowledge

WOW
I’m afraid to ask what God you’re speaking of. Notice how everyone is quick to throw God into something… especially the “rappers” or “Hip Hop Artist” I like to thank God for this and that… people are so fooled.. Not knowing Satan is a God I had to underline A for the simple fact there is a difference between a God and THE God. But do you ever hear Jesus? Also, Christianity is the only religion that accepts god as their lord in savior…and that accepts everyone. anyone can have a religion make a religion whatever but that’s all it is A RELIGION. You can claim whatever religion you want to… when you say you are a CHRISTIAN that’s saying you accept Jesus. Now has anyone done any research on sororities and fraternities? Wow I hope you aren’t black because that will bring fact to the saying " if you want to hide something from a black person put it in a book". Don't get alarmed i am black myself. What do those Greek symbols mean? Can you tell me? Definition of a Fraternity/Sorority is “The name that applies to all Greek-letter organizations that are characterized by ritual, a pin, and a strong sense of friendship. A ritual? Definition-a system or collection of religious or other rites, a book containing the offices to be used by priests in administering the sacraments and for visitation of the sick, burial of the dead, etc.Yes im only 19 but I didn’t make this stuff up… Research. Ya’ll have the Greek letters…. Representing the Greek gods. So that's good you thank God but do you thank Jesus. He's the one that died for everyone sins.Another thing... you say you dont worship some god in you sorority that she is merely a "symbol" point? false worship can be a piece of paper, a toy, i person, a symbol even. what book you looking at where u dont see a elephant lol

Why do people continue to join Greekchat to preach to us?
LET IT BE CLEAR: Anyone who posts ANY ritualistic (whether it be true or false) information about Delta Sigma Theta or the other members of the NPHC will have their post deleted and their membership on GC banned.

I'll have to check this G Craig Lewis out for myself and see how it lines up with the word.
Interesting stuff though...
