Favorite High School: Home Economics (Yes my high school--all girl's) still teaches that! I loved it! I even took a second year of Home Ec II my senior year! I can actually sew and cook!

Least Favorite HS: Chemistry, sophomore year--my teacher was crazy! I ended up with a C in the class but gosh, it was so hard. The only thing I remember from that is that Noble Gases don't like to mix with other chemicals.

Favorite College: Southern Literature! It was great and I took it during the summer so we went to the Faulkner Conference and that was amazing. I also loved all my Marketing classes! So much fun! I actually like group projects! Oh and I took an entire literature class about Samuel Beckett, he is an amazing writer!

Least Favorite College: Accounting! Are they kidding? It was so freakin' hard. Yet I could make A's in Finance & Econ Stats I & II classes! I realize they have it hard to weed out the actual accounting majors, but they could have an accounting for non-majors course! The test were all at night in this big room with all of the other accounting sections. I hated it.

OleMissGlitter - I've heard WONDERFUL things about the Faulkner Conference!! You are soooo lucky!! In fact, I get Oxford Magazine, which I think is from your school? I love it - especially the Blues edition!!

So I was reflecting on this subject the other day, and realized I must revise this lol.

High School

Favorite: Calculus
Least Favorite: Physics (or IPC which I took freshman year)

College
Favorite: Law of Mass Comm and TV Production/Direction
Least Favorite: Calculus 2 & American Fiction (because of the profs)

I was gonna add Intro to Religious Studies to the 'least favorite' list but I realized that after having several in-class arguments w/the prof (who was also a local pastor) and realizing how much of a complete buffoon he was, that I knew A LOT more about the subject than him. All the defending of my beliefs helped me strengthen my faith.

And really, as a pastor of a local church I expected MUCH MUCH more than what he did. Really? I understands all the sects have slightly different views on things, but when you can't even get down the most basic beliefs, how can you call yourself a pastor?

High School:
Favorite: Sophomore Honors English--a really funny teacher who I still pester taught that one, and the inside jokes from that class are still around today. "Balls? Gothic Spam? LOL!"
Least Favorites: AP Calculus Lab (a study hall for AP Calculus AB students where the teacher disliked me so much that he banned me from saying "chicken") and AP Physics (dropped it at semester because the teacher played favorites and unless you were one, and I wasn't, the class was hard and boring as all heck)

College:
Favorites: Rhetoric I&II (the prof let me make coffee runs and sleep in class! both semesters!) and Environmental Studies (the prof told fun stories about getting kicked out of Texas Tech for partying too much, making moonshine, and was a hilarious lecturer!)
Least Favorites: Spanish 1412 (two semesters in one, only you still have two semesters worth of work to do, and it was at freaking 8 in the morning! I like Spanish, but I can't get up to save my life) and Political Science 1305 (? I think that's the number? Anyway, the professor was an old fart who gave all m/c tests with answers where I thought you could argue it for multiple ones and he was always so condescending to his students! arrgh! definitely made me want to change my major from poli sci because he's the old fart of the department and I didn't like dealing with him at all!)

High School:
Favorite: Spanish. My teacher was excellent, we had a huge, fun and involved Spanish Club and we went to Mexico City for a week long trip which was the experience of a lifetime.
Least Favorite: Calculus. It was the first time I ever had to work at anything in my life and I hated it. I tried to drop but the teacher said that I had to learn to be challenged before I went to college and wouldn't let me. I told him it was going to ruin my GPA because I had all A's going into my senior year. I ended up with a B+ and I was crushed

College:
Favorite: All of my OT classes. I was so excited to learn everything I was going to be doing as an Occupational Therapist. We had awesome profs and a great class (we took all the same classes together for two years straight).

Least Favorite: Gross Anatomy. Aside from the huge amount of memorization, which was tedious, the cadavre lab made me sick (emotionally and physically) twice a week. I'm not cut out for that kind of thing.

High School:

I had many favourites, so here are a few: Most math classes until Grade 11; Keyboarding (typing); OAC Music (small class of 6 people), Law, Philosophy and Writer's Craft.

Least favourite: Media studies (Grade 11). The teacher was a radical feminist who hated skinny girls.

University:

Favourites: East Asian History, Musical Theatre, Shakespeare's Comedies, The English Country House (the last two taken abroad in a medieval castle in England)

Least favourite: Intro women's studies (prof was a radical feminist and the TA even more radical)

Hmm...

Favourites:
School - Honours French 5 and Anatomy & Physiology
University - Italian Renaissance Art, and Evolutionary Biology
Postgrad - Giorgione seminar

Least Favourites:
School - Pre-Calculus and Honours Calculus (maths and I do not mix)
University - Public Communication (he tried to indoctrinate us and kept us an hour late after a three hour lecture/seminar) and the second term of Calculus based Physics (E/M badness mostly), as my prof. was an evil little man
Postgrad - Art Historical Research Methods (aka. How to Ruin and Destroy your Thesis and Research Prospects)
