I want to be where you are!

It's freaking hot in Toronto. We've got a heat advisory and a smog alert going, and it's pretty much going to be like this for the next 2 weeks.

July 11 was the hottest it's been here since 1949 and July 12 was the hottest since 1987.

Today, it's was about 30 degrees celcius (86 degrees farhenheit) but with the humidex it felt like 40 degrees celcius (104 degrees farhenheit).

I also don't have air conditioning in my house, so it's probably like 40 degrees in here too!

It's cloudy right now outside and it looks like it's going to rain. Toronto really needs the rain too has we are officially in a drought. But it hasn't started yet and it really needs to, because it needs to cool down!

I've been frying for the last couple of days, even though it's only like 88-90 or something. But my parents keep everything in the house closed up, so it's twice as hot. Then my car has no A/C, so I've lost like 5 pounds in sweat. I NEED A WATER BOTTLE!!!

yeah, those are high temperatures but it doesnt look like humidity is too bad there. humidity is what makes it so bad. we've actually had pretty good temperatures lately...around high 80s and low 90s thanks to the rain but our humidity remains very bad...as usual. at the moment its at 88%.

Chez Munchkin just invested in a window unit AC (our place has AC sleeves built into the wall, which is awesome). I thought that, growing up in Florida, I could handle the summers. After 4 in RI and 2 here in NY, I gave up. I heart my AC.

Eastern Washington/Northern Idaho gets hot, the whole Inland Northwest thing.

*off topic, are you going to go home next weekend? I am driving to my grandfather's to see my parents and I was thinking of stopping and seeing you!*

Temp is around 86 today
Humidity is like 70%-85% from different sources I've heard today

heat index = keep an eye on old folks

the air is hot and right on top of you. I can barely take a breath. Not to mention all the smog.

This weather sucks

Ah, I forget. I rather like that side of the state...as long as I don't have to deal with it in the winter.

Sho you right!!!! I get that myself. "You're from Georgia, aren't you used to heat?" Uhh - yeah, but I've also never lived anywhere that didn't have AC standard in all living areas!!!

I feel bad for folks back home in Tallahassee...hot weather AND hurricanes! God must have it in for Florida after all...

although I kinda feel bad for myself here too...try growing up with 40 degree (celsius) summers and no air condition in a smelly city (Belgrade). It got so bad that my Dad had to buy not one, but two air conditioners for our 64 square meter apartment. (I think selling our old Renault 4 helped buy one of them, they're not cheap neither).
