I learned to be a trendsetter from a gentleman of Kappa Alpha Psi. His name is Arthur Davis and he is the Director of Finance at my college. When I first began my college career he told me to never be afraid to do my own thing, have my own style. Never be afraid to break away from the group and be different.

One of my former students is having some issues in World History this year. I suggested she write out Identifications. Remember those? HATED THEM!!! But they helped me pass. KUDOS TO MR. JOHNSON!!!!! *applause*
Yeah he helped me prepare and so did Mr. Jones (don' think he is Greek though). Mr. Jones was my 8th grade history teacher and that mofo made us take BLUE BOOK tests in the 8th grade.

But yes I definitely absolutely remember those identifications. They helped me tremendously. I did those for my English comprehensive exam at Witt.

When I say hard NOW it is out of APPRECIATION, LOVE, and RESPECT. If I had teachers like him at Witt, I would have pursued a major in history.

Me too, and history was my LEAST favorite subject in school. You wouldn't know it today by the books I choose to read. I don't remember Mr. Jones. I said I would never forget stuff from high school, but I have no idea who that is.

Just recently I learned a valuable lesson from a Delta, GC's own treblk. It may not seem valuable to you all, but it is priceless to me. She taught me how to flat-twist my hair. Learning something new with natural hair is always a milestone because you begin your journey knowing nothing at all (at least I didn't know anything about my naps). I appreciate that she showed me. She didn't have to; she could have left me style-challenged and made a grip of money off of me. But no, she taught me instead, and I am so grateful for that. Thanks, girl!!! I promise to pass on the knowledge to another nappyhead.

I have learned a great deal from an attorney-mentor of mine who is a member of Delta Sigma Theta. She has been very helpful to me in establishing and developing my legal career.
