Has TLC lost it's mind? The Learning Channel has dumped Paige Davis from "Trading Spaces."

Paige, who has been a queer fave on the show that redecorates homes for white trash didn't have a clue she was headed out the door We're told she showed up at her office and found the lock had been changed.

Trading won't have a replacement, relying instead on the designers to do all the talking.

"We believe that this new creative direction will enable the show to be more spontaneous, focus more on the homeowners and designers, and create alternative home trades in different cities and on opposite coasts," TLC said in a statement.

Now, if they dump Evan Farmer the humpy host of "While You Were Out" I'm going to war!

Paige won't take long to bounce back. She's appeared on Broadway in "Beauty and the Beast" and "Chicago."

At least the network allowed her to say goodbye to her fans.

"I cannot begin to explain what an incredible journey this show has been for me," she wrote on the show's Web site. "I love 'Trading Spaces' so much, and I am very proud of what the cast and crew has brought to you."

Her last new episode will air in March.

Changing Rooms (the original British version of the show) once did an episode where two brothers, one who lived in New Zealand and one who lived in the UK, flew to each other's home and traded spaces. The one who did the home in the UK had help from one of the designers, host, and Handy Andy from the British edition and the one who did the home in New Zealand had help from one of the designers, host, and Handy Andy from the New Zealand edition. (yes, they have one...and that Handy Andy is HAWT.)

Am I the only person who is happy to se Paige go? I think she's annoying...

Well, I liked Paige and though the show stunk without her but... SHE's BACK! Laurie and Frank are back too!

Actually watched the show for the first time in a LONG time tonight.

Still hate Hilde. She's a freak who has little concern for the actual homeowners. It's all about pushing the envelope for her.

SO glad Paige is back -- and Laurie -- and Vern. While Paige is too perky for me, she IS the show. Without her, you just have the snivel of the designers.

I would never even consider letting anyone but Laurie or Vern touch my home.

Even when Gen was on there, she was TOO funky for my taste.

I forgot the new season with Paige (what's with her hair?) was starting tonight! I'm sitting through the last hour replay of the Miss America thing to get to it. (now that I know MI won, sorry, I couldn't believe how AWFUL her singing was)
