Mr ISUKappa ate the 40oz (that's 2.5 lbs!) Steak Lover's Challenge steak at a grill-your-own steak place this summer. And he ate it (and salad and potato and garlic toast and beers) in under an hour and got a free t-shirt. Granted, he also felt like ass and couldn't eat for two days, but he did it.
At Rube's steakhouse they have a 54oz steak challenge.
I'd probably eat that hamburger.

The commercials for Hardee's are stupid too.
Like that girl riding the bull eating that giant hamburger.
1. That girl does not eat hamburgers like that.
2. She is demostrating that you have to workout while eating it so you don't die.
Or the one with the pregnant woman eating one. That's enough to give you and your kid heart disease.
I hate Hardee's they used to be good but now they suck. I can't believe they even thought about taking away the cinnamon rasin biscuits.
Let's change this to a I hate Hardee's thread.

Which Rube's? The original in Montour? Or down in Waukee?

I don't see what the uproar is - if Hardees wants to market this burger, that's their right. It's ultimately up to each person whether or not they want to indulge or not.
I will say that's a solid amount of beef, and it's a solid strategy on Hardees part. That burger will be a big seller, at least at first.

ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
that's disgusting.
if you think about it though, that's only 2/3 lb. of meat (not including the extras).
Fuddrucker's has a 1 lb. burger (not including toppings like bacon... but I'm sure they can add that).
Of course Fuddrucker's doesn't have commercials promoting it either

Not only that, but most "healthy" food options from fast food restaurants aren't as healthy as they want us to think they are.

Although it is pretty funny to see someone walking out of the McDonald's line with a salad in one hand and a bunch of packets of ranch or bleu cheese dressing in the other.

Embarrassing admission: one of my family's nicknames for me is "The Camel" because I eat so much food that they are convinced I must have a hump somewhere on my body to store it all. I keep telling them I just like to eat!
|
I can eat a whole medium pizza (depending on the pizza place) and I'm not big at all. Not embarrassed, lol.

I actually get this. If you're going to pack all that beef and grease into you, why top it off with a ton of sugar too? At least you'll be sparing yourself those calories. LOL! It makes sense, in a weird way.
ETA: Any burger that has two patties (double meat) freaks me out. It sounds crazy, but I'd rather see the two patties as one. Then it might not look so horrible.
