As for me, I make it a practice to stay away from the stores on Black Friday.

We went to Gurnee - the ones in Kenosha kind of suck lately. We do Gurnee on Black Friday every year, I think we're crazy.

I went shopping today. It wasn't too bad. Seemed like regular weekend type of shopping. I just got stuff for myself though. lol.

I dont understand why peopls shop this weekend, especially friday? I mean, yeah, there are sales, but damn, is the 15% really worth that hassle? Id rathe rpay a bit more and not have to deal with all that nonsense.

After working on Black Friday so many years, this was my first time being on the other side.I woke up early and waited in line for the store to open. Security was there to keep people back who tried to dash from cars in to the store at 6 am. Those people had to wait until everyone who was in line got in first.
I was surprised to listen to the radio that day when they would give mall parking lot updates along with the traffic report. Does this happen anywhere else?
With shopping this past weekend, it's first come first serve. One of my pet peeves when I would work during the holidays is when people wouldn't believe that an item was sold out and insist that there was an extra one in the stock room. They're just salespeople not magicians.

I have never gone shopping on Black Friday. Some of the sales looked really nice, but standing in line for 3 or so hours for only a couple of hours doesn't really make it worth saving a few bucks. I haven't done any shopping yet, but i'm seriously considering the internet this year.

you guys are cracking me up. I think I would lose my patience if I was working to restock shelves and someone kept harassing me.
Sometimes I like getting caught up in the whole Black Friday rush. Its almost a tradition. But damn, there is not a lot that would get me out of bed at 5 am on a holiday just to see the inside of a mall.
I love Internet shopping. How did we survive as a species without it? Today alone I hit up amazon, a boutique and a cute little toy place (bedbuggs.com) for stocking stuffers. No crowds, no lines, no obnoxious Stay at home moms acting like the sky was falling.
