Today is Rememberance Day.
I'll be attending a ceremony at the university.

Don't forget to observe 2 minutes silence!

I attended the service at U of T today, the first service I've gone to in years.

There was no service of any kind today at Seneca. Not even an announcement over the P.A for a moment of silence...unless you were sitting in the library.
My friend and I had our own moment of reflection at 11am.

That is SAD! You should complain or something. I was also upset that some of the kids (students from neighbourhood schools were also invited to U of T for the service) at the service weren't at least mouthing O Canada. I can understand not singing the hymns or "God Save The Queen", but "O Canada"???!!!!!

High Flight
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
Sunward I've climbed, and joined the tumbling mirth
Of sun-split clouds - and done a hundred things
You have not dreamed of - wheeled and soared and swung
High in the sunlit silence. Hov'ring there,
I've chased the shouting wind along, and flung
My eager craft through footless halls of air.
Up, up the long, delirious, burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle flew -
And, while with silent lifting mind I've trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand and touched the face of God.
