Marry her to a rich Austrian man!
(I love that they reprise the song during Maria's wedding)

When the dog bites,
When the bee stings,
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite things
and then I don't feel so bad!

Dough, the stuff that buys the beer
Ray, the guy who sells me beer
Me, the guy that drinks the beer
Far, the distance to my beer
So . . . I think I'll have a beer
La la la la la la beer
Tea? No thanks, I'll have a beer
That will bring us back to . . . doh.

Let's start at the very beginning. A very good place to start.

So long, farewell, au revoir, auf wiedersehen
I'd like to stay and taste my first champagne...
Yes?
NO!

I was in a local production of The Sound of Music playing Frau Schmidt, the housekeeper. One of the stagehands insisted on calling me Frau Blucher, like from Young Frankenstein! Fun times...

We have an Alpha Xi one to the tune of "Edelweiss"! I really like the sound of it, but I can't carry a tune so I hate trying to sing it!
I've been on a "Sound of Music" tour in Salzburg. Hi, I'm a dork. I saw the gazebo from the "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" scene, the houses they used for the back and the front of the von Trapp's place (2 different ones), the church where they got married, some of the sites in Salzburg, etc.
