Let me add that it's to raise money. I'm trying to see if I can come up with an excuse for joining after this event.
The only Board of Directors I'm on is for our Ohio State chapter's house corporation, where I serve as President.
I also serve as Treasurer on the local level for Cub Scouts.

Right now, I'm on the board for my chapter of the DAR. No worries about paying for anything there - one member died a few years ago and left our chapter close to a million dollars!!
I'm also on the Board for an international soccer organization, but I think the group's going to go inactive at any time now. At least, I think it's run its course.
I will be on the Housing Corporation Board, once we get it up and running again.
