That is correct!

According to the Columbus Dispatch, 95% of last year's season ticket holders had renewed as of June 24th. The 2003-2004 season ticket renewal rate was 93% (I believe roughly 13,000 seats were owned by season ticket holders in 2003-2004, and Nationwide holds 18,136 for hockey.) We've already got our tickets for this year, and hopefully one or both sides will be willing to compromise. The Doug McLean radio show this afternoon had NHL VP and Chief Legal Officer Bill Daly as a guest and of course they talked about the strike. Unfortunately, it sounded like more of the same old song and dance...sigh...

More Blue Jackets demographics notes for your reading pleasure: Columbus ranked 15th in league attendance last season, drawing an average crowd of 17,369 to 18,136-seat Nationwide Arena. The team filled 95.8 percent of its seats despite another poor showing on the ice. Its record of 25-45-8-4 landed it next to last in the 15-team Western Conference. Even so, we're loyal and love our hockey in Central Ohio!

So it's over a month later

Guy Lafleur has a good point....
