Our power didn't return until 5 PM the next day. 25 hours without electricity and water is pretty unpleasant.

Yesterday our power went out for about half an hour. We thought it was going to be another black out.
We don't know why our power went out. Fortunately it was nothing serious.

We were the very first. 11:10 pm that night! My neighbors had fired up the generator in their camper and were ciphoning gas out of a classic car they have when the lights came back on. They didn't realize the lights were on! I hollered to them that they could quit ciphoning.. it was pretty funny!

I was on my way home from the salon, and couldn't help noticing that NONE of the traffic lights were working. When I got home and nothing was working, I turned on my mini radio, and found out that the power was gone from here to NY.

I wonder how many people are now taking care of their two month old babies?

Actually they'd be about 14 months old now

I was RIGHT on the edge of all this in Ohio at my Grandmother's house. Electricity went out for like an hour and only an hour... then we watched the news for the rest of the time

Funny you mention that because I remember everyone in our neighborhood with their generators on. I couldn't even sleep with the window open to get a breeze because the gas fumes were blowing in my room. I was sitting outside reading and our neighbor, who was Mayor of the city at that time, comes outside and yells it out for everyone. We got so excited!

You're both right - I didn't see that the blackout was TWO years ago, so any "blackout babies" would be 14 months now.
