I don't tell people how to live their lives, either. Vote Yes.
Your logic evade me.

It was probably some homophobic HS football players who mess around with each outer and in attempt to convince themselves that they arent gay do chit like this.

Slightly off topic, but someone who lives near me has a sign in their front yard that says "Re-Defeat Bush." Cracks me up everytime I drive by. Oh, and it's been there for about 3 or 4 months and no one has done anything to it.

That's horrible. At my home we always have political signs up (our property is one of the prime spots to advertise) and we've never had a problem. My guess is that a bunch of homophobic highschoolers did that.

As a former sign-stealer (oh..I have some stories...) these are some steps to help your situation:

1. NEVER go for the cheap paper & wire signs, way too easy to steal.
2. Get the nice big plywood signs. When you run the stakes in the ground, use OLD stakes, you know, the ones with nails sticking out and the wood is very uneven. It hurts like h^ll to try to take one of those outta the ground. Plus they don't fit well in a car trunk.
3. If you can, do what my parents did. Plant poison ivy around where you're going to have the sign at and let it creep up the legs of the sign.
4. Have those solar lights shining up on the sign.

I am serious. Smear it with vaseline or something.
Tear gas grenade works, too! Ya don't wanna be accused of cruel and unusual punishment, so claymore mines, 'Bouncing Betties', toe-poppers and punji stakes are outta the question...

I am sorry that happened to you. While taking the sign was not totally horrible, there was no need to leave the poo behind.

It makes me very sad to see some of our peers not willing to listen or respect what other people believe or say.
