My roommate and I rented "In America" a few weeks ago. We both thought it was great.

Starship Troopers: Hero of the Federation just came out on DVD- if you saw the first Starship Troopers movie, I recommend this one. The plotline sticks within a small time frame and only in one location.

I saw Osama, that was a good movie.

The Last Samurai was good. Kinda depressing but good.

I hated the last samurai. You want to watch a cliche with moving pictures, then this would be a good movie. At first I liked it because of a few of the shots...but the more I thought about it, ugh.

I wasn't happy that Tom Cruise was able to "become" a Samurai over night when people train YEARS for it. But I think it was a good movie.

So the whole, look at us we're sticking to our old ways and are pure good while these evil new people with technology are replacing us thing didn't bother you?

Don't edit me again Breathesgelatin when I didn't violate any rule. Edit me and I will post this again and again and again. You took out a part where I said something along the lines of "so polar...so black...so white...so good....so bad". Should you lack the education or understanding of what this means, ask. Don't make ASSumptions and make yourself look bad, OK?

I'm confused by the question. I thought that desire to modernization shouldn't mean that a country has to destroy a valuable part of their culture.

Except that wasn't the case...it wasn't about old vs new. It was good old vs bad new.
