Don't know the details of of this one, but it looks like this person's "brothers" may have failed to show some degree of respect to a member of his family. What would you do in this situation? [/B]
That situation in my mind is completely different from say, a gentleman is initiated into a fraternity at one school, transfers somewhere where there is no chapter of that group and then wants to join fraternity #2. In that instance, I'd have to be a little concerned about how he views his oaths. It would seem to me that he wasn't really taking his oath seriously and that he may think of a fraternity as just a place to party.

Those would be some concerns that I'd need addressed.

From the sounds of the PM that I received that this was not the case.

I suggested that The Chapter contact the National and get their thoughts on this.

Not knowing the full story, but what was PMed to me, and the regard that was held for this young man, it could and should be looked into.

Many times circumstances are beyond control or out of hand at some chapters.

I for one would like to find out the results of this situation, and hope it works out for all.

The NPC and NIC have very different rules on this. You are correct, it is not allowed in the NPC. It is allowed in the NIC if certain rules are followed that have been described in posts above.
