Jem, the barbie with pink hair was my favorite. I had Jem pajamas and everything. I know I'm not the only one that would get cereal just for the prize. How about Cricket, the talking doll, she was like My Buddy and Kid Sister. And Kenya, she was a doll with magic lotion.

LOL!
I am seriously feeling this topic! I remember playing "hide and go seek" in 2 different age ranges. When we were very young (5-10), it was one game. When we got a bit older, (early-mid teens), it became something ALLLLLLL together different ... and ya'll know what I mean.
On another note, my sisters used to play a game called "Chinese Jump-rope" ( "jump in, jump out, jump side-to-side, jump on, jump out, jump in") with long strands of rubberbands. Any ladies feeling this or was it primarily a Chicago thing?
ALSO - for the fellas - did anybody used to make "hot-rods" ... with wood, and buggy wheels? (I'm probably SERIOUSLY dating myself with THAT one!)
Another one for the fellas ... "Strike-em-out" (Two people ... a ball, a bat, and a "strike-zone" box drawn on the wall.)
For everybody: Dodge Ball/Bombardment
Whew,I feel like an old man!

Singing Erykah Badu's "Back in the day when things were cool..."
Man, this brings back some memories!
I used to play all the games, particularly:
At Home:
*Hide & Go Seek (we would hide on roof tops and in trees and stuff--the game took place across the entire block!!! )
*Hide & Go Seek in the Dark (played in the house w/out the lights on)
*Freeze Tag
*Double Dutch (remember "outdoors or indoors"?)
*All the Hand Games
*All the Command Games (Simon Says, Red Light Green Light)
* Grocery Store (with my Play-Do, we would make food and stuff)
*With my Barbies (make them go on dates with Ken, make them fight over Ken; man that used to be fun)
*All the Card Games (UNO, Speed, Gold Fish, etc.)
*That's My Car (I still do it now, too)
At School:
*Tetherball
*Handball (that was MY GAME!!!)
*Four Square
*Hopscotch
*All the Double Dutch games (including the Chinese One)
*Flag Football
*Racing
*Edited for Spelling*
