Unhappy

Cheap Ass or Square Bob Sponge Pants

Hell, if you are getting a ride, put some cash in the Hands of The Driver, they are doing the driving, and the gas is in their car!

You are a or not a guest, if you dont like it, pay for a Taxi to get your ass home!

Called Common Courtesy to help pay for the transportaion to get you home or sit on the school door step crying!

Tell the other Passengers, Hey, I think I will chip in for gas as a subtle hint! BS, I never had a car and had to depend on people who did! Just because they were going your way, DA, It cost money!

Try Hitch Hiking to get Home! Aint Fun!

If no one wants to pay expenses, then they dont ride! Period!

I think you should chip in for gas and so should the others. It's not just the gas money, it's for everything, having to drive those 2 hours, and using the car (it may only be 2 hours but that's a whole lot of miles and all of that). It's just common courtesy.

Another time someone should give gas money is when you get those "Oh no, I don't have a ride to ___" and they look at you and then ask you what your doing. Then it's you who's going out of the way and your time to help them out. Who knows how long it'll take and how far it is. I've gotten that A LOT before. After awhile it got old. You don't mind once in awhile but gas is damn expensive and driving a lot messes up your car.

Question

You SPLITTED THE GAS 3 WAYS????

Who was doing the Driving? Does It Cost Wear and Tear on The Car!

If you do not want to Kick in some Cash, Ride The Friggen Bus!

Cheep as In Chicken Sh*T or pay For The Person doing The Driving!

Damn, If I had A FRIEEND DRIVING, I would be more than willing to Kick In A Big Part of $$$$$$$$$$

Taking for Granted is a lose of doing it again! I would kick someones Ass To The Curb and never do it again!

It was 3 people in the car and we divided it by three.

What do you do if you are the driver and nobody ever offers? Just quit offering to drive even when nobody else will?

You did the right thing, Dionysus...maybe it'll set a trend.

A fair number of people from my hometown went to Cow College with me, and they always gave me money for gas on the ride home or bought me lunch, even though it was just a few blocks out of the way to drop them off. It's common courtesy.

When I was still in high school my friends would also occasionally give me gas money, because the few that didn't have a car and needed a ride lived a good 10-15 miles out from me since our town is a little boonie-ish. They'd just chip in a buck, but it's the thought that counts.

It's just plain 'ol common courtesy! Especially with the gas prices going nowhere but up! I had to drive 2-1/2 hours away this past weekend for a singing engagement and I had 2 of our members with me. 1 offered gas money (heck, she just about filled up my tank). The other did nothing but read a book. I never ask for gas or toll money, but I think it should be automatic. You're putting the mileage, wear & tear on your car to get them where they gotta go. Some people assume that since you're going the same place they are, then it really doesn't matter if they kick out any funds because you are already planning to go there anyway.

***smh***

On the flip, a couple of years ago, me and 3 friends did a road trip from Philly to Pittsburgh (clear across the state) to attend a CD release. We used my car. I can honestly say that I barely came out of pocket the whole weekend. Gas, tolls, food, hotel...all of that was paid for. Now that's what I call common courtesy!
