I have never ever ever owned a Janet CD. A soror passed the price info along on a listserve and I know that we on GC like to get the best deal for CDs and stuh so I just passed it along to the Janet lovers.

I've heard the CD and while I couldn't devote my complete attention to it, I can say it sounds like he's returned to his best form.
Now to start a letter writing campaign to get him to come to YVR...

I am SOOOO tired of that song! I mean, I liked it when it came out, but now, they are wearing it OWT! After Slim was killed, they went into overdrive with EVERY song that he was ever on. It's time to let go.
I bought Juve's CD and have yet to listen to it. I went to get it when it came out and wound up buying another copy of 400 Degreez. I have been listening to that and haven't even unwrapped Juve the Great yet. I will try to listen to it before the weekend is over. If it's anything like 400 Degreez, it will DEFINITELY be a favorite.

His new CD is a really good, solid listen. If you are not a "true fan" and are expecting another "Purple Rain"- then this CD ain't for you. If you want to hear real funk and good music, then the CD is GREAT!!!
I am a member of the NPGMC and I heard that he did Insatiable at one of his concerts, equipped with a "pearl" cage. Lawd, I hope he does it at the DC show.
If you have not purchased your tickets, please do so if you can. From what I have heard so far, the show is LIVE.

Compared to Troy, his track record was pitiful, 3X as PM, only won once, whereas Troy was PM several times, and won at least twice. Add that to the fact that his quick thinking on his feet has garnered numerous victories for his team, and WITHOUT a college education.

Ditto!!
Can't wait til he hits Madison Square Garden & Continental Airlines Arena (yeah I have to see him twice)!

NPG music club in the house. I got my tickets for the Detroit show.
I went to the theater showing of Prince's concert opening in LA last Monday. It was all that and more. I got tearful at the end when he sung Purple Rain. This can not be the last time he will sing my favorite songs.
Purple Rain Purple Rain
I only want to see you in the Purple Rain.

Although I soooooooooooooo wasn't feeling "Sorry 2004" from Ruben, I am really liking his new song "After the candles burn", I can't really put my finger on why.

Been bumping MusicOlogy since the live broadcast. Will be nodding my head to the show next Monday night, yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I thought he did a snippet of Insatiable during the live show. The pearls really weren't a cage more of a drop down beaded thing that surrounded him. It was still funky. Can't wait to be dancing down front with the other NGPMC folks.

Ok, I bought a CD that I never thought I'd buy: Damita Jo. I like it. Numbers 4 and 10 are my favorite. I'll tell you what; if I had a man, there are some songs on here I could make my reality. That's all I have to say about that.

Today In Wal-Mart
I purchased this chick's CD Joss Stone. It was only $8.88. Joss is from the UK and is white. I saw her video while at home on MTV2 and those other MTV channels. I really liked the song she has out now.
I couldn't pass it up, less than 9 bucks...
Has anyone heard of this white guy Eamon?
