That's a good idea, and I'll give it a shot - probably go straight to the national orgs, because getting information from the local chapters has proved to be kind of a pain. I'm not sure if people check their e-mail during the summer...

Finer Woman and Nupe4Life -
I summed up your thoughts and questions into an e-mail which was sent off to the lady I'm working for, and this is what she said about the NPHC (let's see if I can keep this straight!):
She said that though 7 of the 8 the individual BGA organizations are members of the NPHC, the BGA itself isn't affiliated with it. The BGA here is like the Panhellenic Association here is - the UM group of all the BGLOs. However, the Panhellenic Association is affiliated with the larger NPC, while the BGA isn't affiliated with the NPHC. I think. (Hope I didn't overexplain if you already understood - it's confusing to me!)
She's also directing the other questions to the BGA advisor, so I should have some historical information and hopefully some more historical pictures later on, as well as any other information he thinks should go on the site.

Hi Liana,
I checked out the page and it is very nice! I am a student and Greek member at UofM. As far as the info about some of the BGLOs, give me an email and I can provide you w/ some more info if you need it. I am not in a BGLO, however, many of my good friends are. Let me know if you need any more help and/or info.

I understand completely the issue with the BGA and NPHC. I hope you did not feel I was blaming you...I know you are taking direction from someone else and I am not terribly suprised you are having a hard time getting information from the local chapters.
In the meantime, my best advice is to supply the information that is stated on the Headquarters sites for absolute accuracyDo you know if the BGA advisor is actually a member of any of the organizations in the BGA?
Thanks for your efforts!

Just wanted to add my two cents. The page looks great and effective. It was easy to get around and the info was understandable.
