Well I don't want to be mean OR start a fight, it's just that nowadays no one knows who any new person is, and because of the repeating trolls, it's guilty til proven innocent.
THe unprovoked snark was a bad sign. *sigh*

Best place to post this....a plea.
When I saw the Raccoon thread in Risk Man. It reminded me of Lil_G KABillymac-KSigkid-rc SigmaChiCard...
(Thank goodness lifesaver remains)
I spent some time running through those old threads and thought about Tom's post "Holy Shazbutt" Or however he spelled it.
Things have changed...a LOT. These days, squabbles get rather nasty. Sure, some got heated in the past, but there was wit in the retorts. Humor was highly valued and threads were so off the wall it was a daily laugh. No one griped about threads getting off topic and there wasn't all this sensitivity that causes threads to get pulled. If you disagreed on one thread, you could be friends on another...
I know we have some "personalties" that are ready to step up and try to fill those shoes, but maybe they don't want to get blasted. I am begging the members of GC to lighten up! Just like REAL life, not everyone is going to like you or what you stand for. Accept it and get over it. Quite turning every thread into an argument! Find humor in our idiosyncrasies and to not take everything so seriously, even if we do get our peacock feathers ruffled from time to time.

It is hard to put inflections and double intendors well when typing!
To some a joke in the posters mind is funny, HAHA, but, it doesnt come out that way!
It is for this reason that many Good People have quit posting or have cut back because of the inanity of the attacks that happen anytime someone asks a question or is a new poster and does not know that there are a kazillion post on GC!
If someone asks a question, answer if with some form of decorum, not flaming attacks, try using better language, do not belittle someone or you will get belittle in return!
I have a bad damn cold, my one employee has the flu, it is 25 and iciy roads, so I feel like hell, and I am not going to take it anymore!
Hey Carol!!!!!!!
