Chris, I hope everything gets better with your dad. If it would help, check with the hospital to see if they provide facilities for overnight stays or if they are contracted with a hotel to do that. I know the going back and forth can be a real strain and this helps somewhat.

As far as the subject of the thread...I'm not sure I'm really entitled to comment on this since there have only been a few rush threads with ASA in them and it was at schools where they are a more popular chapter. Nothing anyone has said about them has offended me because they've tempered any negatives with a positive. But if I had to read multiple times multiple bad things about my sisters, I might be upset too.

If you want to be completely blunt - fine. But either don't reveal the houses at all, or don't be surprised if when you do people are hurt. I was going to go on but OTW said it better than me.

Chris, I'm so sorry to hear about your father and your brother.

As for the subject of this thread, "no matter the letter, we are greek together." Would I be thrilled if a GC PNM went AEPhi? Well, duh But what's most important is that our PNMs find the home that's right for them, whether that happens now or later, and wherever that home may be.

And actually, I think it's kind of cool when people discover non-NPC options as well - great locals, multi-culturals, NPHC, service fraternities, etc.

Well, I have BEEN catty, and as much as I try to hold my tongue sometimes, I hate to see PNM's not give every house a fair chance. I have been in that chapter that has girls skipping its parties, and it sucks that we didn't even get the chance to show girls what an awesome sisterhood we had. In my opinion, if a PNM says a chapter is not for her, fine, but when she says three chapters or five chapters are not for her, I honestly have to question how much of a chance she is giving them.

i think that when ladies first get their bids they get really excited and really promote their houses and rush kinda brings out the competition amongst sororities, it is SUCH a stressful time and new members don't really understand how everything works and they they are part of a whole not just their chapter I think that is being reflected here on GC recently and I'm sure it will die down.. but there are A LOT of us who believe no matter the letter we're greek together !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I am holding out hope that there are some classy women at WIU yet. Ladies who have posted, think about the image you are projecting not just for yourselves, but your sororities and your Panhellenic relationships.

Ladies, we are telling the truth. We just do not know who may be reading these threads--greeks and non-greeks, PNMs and alumnae, local members and international officers. It truly wouldn't surprise me if there are people lurking from your university AND from your sorority here on GC. Many groups have national/international representatives who do review the GC community on a regular basis. Some of these men and women actively participate, some lurk, but they are here just like the rest of us.

As previously stated--please think before you post, and consider how your words reflect upon yourself and your sorority. Tact and restraint are positive reflections, hatred and insults just are not. Do not bring down the image of your beloved sorority by acting in such a manner in a public forum.
