Hrmm . . . Let me take a little harder tact.

The problem is, this is an emotional issue that has a lot to do about people's comfort zones.

Many people are not comfortable about same-sex relationships regardless of whatever PC drivel comes out of their mouths.

I am reminded of people commenting on interracial relationships. They will say, I am not against such relationships per se . . . but consider the children of such a union and the problems they will go through . . . But the reality is that they are just not comfy with interracial dating but don't want to come across as prejudiced.

In this case. You are reaching. You are speculating that future PNM's will avoid your house hearing there is a lesbian couple. Maybe but I doubt it. And no more than just hearing that some of your members are openly gay.

You are also imagining the worse case scenario of some future break-up causing problems.

That is no more likely to happen than a disgruntled person who loses an election being bitter. Or two girls fucking the same boy. Or, just two groups of sisters that just hate each other. And a bunch of people choosing sides . . ..

Oh wait, thats the every day drama of ANY chapter ANYWHERE lol.

Anyway, ou certainly do not EVER want to do anything about this stuff officially. That would set a nasty prescedent and look like a witch hunt.

I don't think it should matter. This kind of made me flashback to a Beverly Hills 90210 episode..hahaha anyone remember that show?? They just had their reunion thing on TV last week. Anyway there was one episode where a guy is rushing a fraternity but what the brothers didn't know was that the guy was gay. The end result was that the whole brotherhood had its times of accepting the first African American, first Asian American and so forth. They found out diversity was the key.

Plus I have to agree with the way earlier comment about how if the relationship between the sisters don't work out then that might cause some problems. And it would all depend on if the place you're in is conservative or not. Aren't sisterhoods supposed to be about loving each other no matter what? It's family. It might cause discomfort to begin with but perhaps it will blow over throughout time.
