Thanks! Yeah, I think I'm leaning toward keeping it long, I was looking in my mom's magazines and the models dressed in business attire had long hair (some pulled back and some with long layers-- granted they are models) and they still looked sophisticated (again granted that they're models and are supposed to look like that!).

I have the same problem! I love my hair -- it's straight and all the way down to my bra strap (hey, it's a measuring point!

), and I get a lot of compliments on it. But I'm worried about how professional it will look when I enter the workforce. But I figure as long as it looks classy and current and healthy, any length is okay. You don't necessarily have to slick it into a ponytail every day. I only do that around 4:00 when I can't stand my hair anymore.

I get "major haircuts" about once a year (after formal of course!)

I tend to get major haircuts after spring formals, and the rest of the year, I just get trims... I don't know what the deal is, but I've just now noticed that I do that every single year.

About three weeks ago, I chopped off about seven inches. I hate short hair, but I needed to revitalize my hair and get rid of the discolored and split ends. It's slowly starting to grow back and I am just aching to have it longer!

Day after thoughts

So it's been a little over 24 hours since the hack job.... I like it, but I miss my old hair somewhat.

In trying to get a more grown-up cut, I look more youthful - i'm betting that I'll get carded more.

Another unforeseen side effect: several guy friends told me that with my long hair I was sexy, now with the new haircut i'm "cute". Not sure how I feel about that............

the semester i rushed i chopped off just about all my hair

and that was last spring... but just a few weeks ago i got a perm, which is way big for me seeing as i've had very straight hair since day one and it has never been able to hold a curl.

Senior year of high school my hair was even longer than it was earlier today, really nice highlights, etc. Over Christmas break something possessed me to get it hacked to my chin (note: previous to this my hair had never really been shorter than my shoulders) and dyed a light blond. Loved it at the salon, HATED it the next morning.

Spent the next 2 years trying to grow it out. God I hope I like this cut more than that one.

I had about the same amount taken off a few months ago. I am loving my hair cut for the summer. It's easy and fast to do. The only thing is sometimes when I'm out at the bars I miss my long brown hair. lol.

MeLikey, wear it however you want! Long hair can be very elegant!

I keep seeming to go back to the same haircut, and I can never seem to style it right. Sigh.

I think I need something to slick my hair down a bit but pomade seems to make it too greasy... I should really give the stylist a call and ask what she used, because she made it look perfect.

To get my ponytails looking really good (easy to slick back without using any gel), I wash my hair the night before, air dry it (I never blow dry), and go to sleep with a low ponytail. I wake up and brush my hair back and pull it tightly back and it's perfect every time... spray it with a little hairspray and you're good to go!

Ah, yeah I have poker straight hair... I always wanted curly hair though... I like the way curly hair looks in a pony tail... I even started getting perms when I was in 3rd grade! I stopped perming in 7th grade though, then it was on to highlights!

Three years ago I chopped off my hair (which was @ the small of my back) to shoulder length and gradually got shorter and shorter. And I hated it more and more. So now I'm in the process of growing it out. I am thinking about something drastic, so should I go for change in color or texture?? Any advice?

Beginning of my junior year of high school I chopped all my hair off almost as a rebellion against the uber-prissy attitude of what was feminine at my school (it was really long and layered). The back was shaved but it contoured in the front and looked very very cute. I would have kept it that way but my stylist moved to a more expensive salon that I couldn't afford and no one else could recreate it. So, I spent 2 years growing it out and I just recently cut it up to my shoulders. I'm seriously contemplating finding a stylist that can do that cut again, because it was easy to maintain and still looked very feminine.

I graduated and went to the workplace and I work at a very business attire type deal (think suits and slacks and for casual fridays, a logo polo shirt with khakis- no cargos!). Anyway, I still have my long blonde hair... and everyone here is envious. If I wake up late, I put my hair in a ponytail, pull it up so that I can clip it from above the pnytail holder and then arrange the hair so that my clip is hidden underneath.. it looks very nice,simple and classy and is so easy- takes no time at all.... so long hair is great for the work place! Buns are always easy and classy too!
