Ah, the "Road Rage Special" ? Remind me not to cut you off

I can't stand tailgaters either. When I'm out driving and someone starts hanging 2 inches off my back bumper, I suddenly remember what the speed limit is and become a law-abiding citizen... hehe

I'm not coordinated enough to do anything but drive when I'm driving! But once I read this article in Reader's Digest, I think, about peoples' driving habits...the author went out on a busy freeway and observed the other motorists, and you wouldn't believe some of the things s/he saw. There were people talking on the phone and eating, the usual stuff, but I will never forget the part where it was mentioned that s/he saw one lady folding laundry while she was driving! How on earth do you do that??

I'm guilty of the cell phone (hands free), eating, and drinking (not alcohol).

But I absoultely CANNOT talk on the phone without the hands free thing and talk safely. I don't know if it's the tilting of the head or what, but it throws me off and it's extremely distracting.

Just a PSA: The left lane is for PASSING. If you are driving in the left lane, and I flash my brights at you, it means "excuse me, I'd like to get by you, please move over." If I flash you once and you don't move, I will pass you on the right.

i sing like i can when i drive....i mean, i belt it all out there. i always get pointed and waved at while on the interstate, but i always just serenade my passers-by with my celine dion renditions.....christina is also a good one to belt.....and every now and then i bust out my rap skillz....watch out for a white neon with ky plates, kids....i'm outta control.

my car smells like an ash-tray, but i am working on that one.....

i put on mascara, lip-liner, and lip-gloss in the car......i am a pro b/c sometimes i don't need my mirrors....that takes practice to do well b/c it takes a while to just ignore all the "birds" and horns you get.

i eat occasionally, but only if i am on a long trip and don't wanna stop or i don't have time. never anything huge, though....just some crackers or something. combos are the best driving meal ever!

Speaking of driving habits....

today I was almost involved in 3 DIFFERENT car accidents because of dumb people who don't know how to drive properly.

1. MULTI-TASKING ISN'T FOR EVERYONE! I know you have work to do, but just because you have a laptop, doesn't mean it's OK for you do that in your car.

2. If you *know* you have an exit coming up, instead of yakking on the phone maybe you should pay attention to where you are so you don't have to cut across 4 lanes of traffic and piss everyone off!!!

3. Normally it's not OK to make a right turn if there is on-coming traffic at speeds of 60+ mph.

I have to admit, I sometimes read in the car on the way home. I was busted by a co-worker one day. I was so embaressed. But I always keep a book handy in case I get stuck somewhere. And I will pull it out while waiting for the light to change three or four times in rush hour traffic.

Drivers of SUVs that think they own the road with their intimidating behemoths.

Turn signal? What turn signal? Oh! It's that funny looking lever on the other side of the steering column!

Red light runners. I'm not talking about ones who sneak in at the tail end of yellow, but blatant red light runners; 7291 red light runner tickets were issued in Plano last year... how 'bout the death penalty for 'em! (evil grin).

Punk kid drivers with daddy-bought SUVs and sports cars who think every road is an opportunity to practice for NASCAR.

Crotch rocket motorcycles, for the same reason above.

Tailgaters. Wait until you taste my depleted-uranium reinforced rear bumper with three-foot long unobtanium spikes projecting from 'em... you'll wish you'll never do it again!
Just the other day on my way to work, this SUV ran the red light. Case a 2 car accident. I don't know what she was thinking, casue the other cars clearly had the right-of-way.

If one more person tailgates me,grrrrrrrrrrr. It really makes me mad when I slow down to let the person in fromt of me turn but the person behind me is in such a hurry they go around me. Geez, can't you wait 2 seconds!?

LoL I think the same exact thing!

In the middle of really bad traffic, is being 2 inches away from my bumper *really* going to get you to your destination any sooner?!?!?!

What's scarier about tailgating is when you're in the car w/ the tailgater. Just a few second delay in braking and you're in next car's behind seat.
