For seven years the quartet of BEA ARTHUR, RUE McCLANAHAN, BETTY WHITE and ESTELLE GETTY brought laughter to audiences as "The Golden Girls." Last night, the cast reunited for an upcoming Lifetime special, but one "girl," Estelle, was not well enough to participate. The 79-year-old actress is suffering from complications due to Parkinson's disease and her friends were feeling her absence. Estelle's comedic gifts will be highlighted when the reunion show hits the air in June. ET was on the set for the nostalgic evening.

Justin to Host MTV Awards
Apr 23, 12:20 PM EST
NEW YORK (AP) -- Justin Timberlake of 'N Sync and Seann William Scott of "Bulletproof Monk" and the "American Pie" movies will co-host the MTV Movie Awards.
The ceremony, which includes categories such as best villain and best kiss alongside best movie and best male and female performance, is set for May 31 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
The 12th annual show is scheduled to air on MTV at 9 p.m. EDT June 5.

"You could not ask for a more dynamic duo than Justin and Seann to help celebrate the year in movies," MTV president Van Toffler said Tuesday.
"The MTV Movie Awards has always been about the twisted, unexpected moments and this year's show will no doubt provide our audience with a night of celebrity sloppiness and fun."
"Spider-Man" and "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" lead the nominations with five each. Viewers can vote for their favorites at MTV's Web site.

That's so sad. I will miss her in the reunion show.

Man, that's a shame about Estelle Getty, I LOVE that show, and she never failed to crack me up!!

Referring to Jack Osbourne, now who's really surprised? It was only a matter of time, to be honest.

Misstery....

Singer Wilson Featured in Documentary

NEW YORK (AP) - Mary Wilson hopes more people will pay attention to soul greats of the 1950s and '60s with the release of the documentary "Only the Strong Survive," which pays tribute to her, Isaac Hayes, the Chi-Lites and other classic soul acts.

"This is a music of America right here, this is R&B music, that people tend to forget," the former Supreme said after the film's premiere Tuesday night.

"We in America have become so commercialized ... the turnover is so fast that there's not enough room for the old and the new," she said. "You have to put the old out to pasture, and that's kind of what has happened, and that's unfortunate, because this is great, great music."

Those who turned out for the after-party at B.B. King's got a chance to experience some of that music as Wilson, Ann Peebles, Sam Moore of Sam & Dave fame and the Chi-Lites performed some of their hits.

"I hope that it (the movie) starts a trend that will help people to look back and bring some of these great performers to the front so people will know who they are today," Wilson said.

"Only the Strong Survive," directed by documentary veterans D.A. Pennebaker and Chris Hegedus ("The War Room"), comes out May 9.

Jennifer Lopez has agreed to star in the fourth Austin Powers movie, tentatively called For Your Thighs Only.

According to sources at the film's distributors New Line, the actress will be paid $9.4 million to play Mike Myers' spoof spy character's love interest in the upcoming movie.

A New Line employee tells Britain's Sunday People newspaper, "It's in essence a brilliant signing. She loved the previous films and can't wait to do the comedy with Mike Myers."

Filming is due to start in Britain at the end of the year.

**somewhere IDEAL08 is pitching a fit**

Red face FOXY BROWN's secrets and stuff

Fans anticipating the release of Foxy Brown's new album, Ill Na Na 2: The Fever, will wait a little longer.

On Wednesday's broadcast of The Wendy Williams Show in New York, Foxy explained that her album has been shelved (pushed back) indefinitely. She admitted to Wendy Williams that her album was supposed to drop in May,but that Def Jam/Bad Boy Records, who are 50/50 owners of her contract, have shelved the project because Foxy and P. Diddy could not agree on the contractual terms.

Foxy also told Wendy that she asked Def Jam CEO Lyor Cohen to let her out of her recording contract. "His response was, 'Over my dead body am I letting you go. You're stuck.' Verbatim. And I called him a devil and he hung up on me."

In addition to that, Foxy let it all out about her bisexual
relationship with Missy Eliot, Eve, Kurupt, Jay-Z, Nas, and a host
of others situations ranging from her 3rd miscarriage and admits that her Father took her virginity.

Some of the interview highlights include:
her feelings about Irv Gotti. "...Irv Gotti to me is the biggest rise
fall of Hip-Hop history. it's sad but that's karma..." the discussion
of the miscarriage with her boyfriend Spragga Benz. The truth behind her beef with Eve. "...It has nothing to do with music...the reason why Kurupt ever found out about anything about DMX having a secret bisexual crush on Kurupt, was through him...DMX and I never had anything..." her discussions with Def Jam about who is falling off on the label. "They [Def Jam] told me clearly, 'Ja's over, X is damn near on his way out, and Jay-Z is trying hard to get a comeback. Those are their words." her desire to sign with Dr. Dre /Aftermath. "To me, like 50 Cent, he [Dr. Dre] lets his
artist live." Her nickname for Nas. "I call him King Cobra. AZ and I have always gave him that nickname because Nas is a slithery homosexual..."
