Favorite Fraternity?

Okay, I guess I will participate in this one. I can't help it, I have some kind of fascination with ATO. They're not exactly the "good boys" on our campus...and the younger ones are dumber than doornails, but there's just something about them...I can't really explain it.
I like all of the fraternities on our campus, we have ATO, Betas, Aggers, Sigma Pi, Pikes, Delta Sigs, Theta Xi, and Sigma Nu. That's about the order of size and involvement, too. They all have their issues, but we have a pretty fun greek system. (It's really small, so we all get to know each other - probably more than we'd like!)

Wait wait wait, we have Phi Delta Theta too! They're a colony, that's why I forgot them. Oops!

Katie, I miss FIJI so much, most of the memebers live on E. University in apts, however they should be back on campus either this winter or next fall. Delta Chi is no longer on our campus anymore. Their nationals came in at the end of the semester and yanked them. They have been having rush problems for years and just couldnt get numbers. They had 15 guys i think. And when I was a freshman I think they had like over 50. But their house was right before you got to FIJI on the other side of the street. It was a small tan and brown house.

We dont really get along with TEP. We had a lil incident with them. In like October we did a serenade to the majority of the frats. And we were alreayd told by TEP, that they wouldnt really do anything with us except maybe tailgate b/c we are not jewish. They tend to do things with SDT and D-Phi-E alot. But we thought since they are our neighbors we'd be nice and sing to them. We went into the house and started to sing,most of their members went upstairs and they slammed the door in our face. So we have issues with them.

As far as rivals go.. Gamma Phi would be ours in general. We competer for girls and we "supposedly" stole their party frat from them. As far as a rush Rival we have been told its A-Chi-O

Just to clear up the "MUD" thing...that is not their letters...more a nickname. Their letters are Phi Mu Delta, which is where MUD game from. I have heard them refered to as that from other schools too in PA...maybe it is just a PA thing. I would agree though it must look funny if you have never seen it before.

UMGirl, don't worry about spelling me name wrong, everyone does! I knowm FIJI was the best! Best parties, best guys etc... I'm glad they might be comming back. That's sad to hear about Delta Chi, one of my friends was a member at Ferris and I like the guys. To think, our IHQ could have done that to you not too long ago! I'm really happy they didn't! I'm surprised TEP treated you like that. I'm friends with some of the guys through work and I know they are a jewish frat with a lot of DPhiE and SDT connections, but I didn't think they would segregate like that. That really sucks. If it makes you feel better, I was in their house last week and I have NEVER seen something grosser than that! I mean my friend showed me one of the back stairwells and we had to hold our breath b/c there was a dumped over garbage can that was there for weeks just chilling!! So, it was gross and they were pigs! Who was Gamma Phi's party frat?

hee hee Theta Xi was there party frat Yeah usually the "jewish" frats and sororities are segarated from the rest of the greeks, but its sometimes them choosing to do so, or the system. It goes both ways. Uhh, beleive me Ive seen worst then TEP. Sometimes I juts dont understand how the guys in frats can stand living in their houses

I completely agree, it's like they sometimes seem to want to be and b/c of that, sometime people tend to segregate. I've never been to the Theta Xi house. How are the guys there?
