What is the problem with joining Sigma Gamma Rho?

I met one Sigma Gamma Rho throughout my entire college experience and that was at a predominately black university so like others on campus we didn't get to see these women represent so to speak. I think its a matter of exposure and lack of knowledge about what the Sgrho's are up to. However in my area now i do see alot more of these women on college campuses representing, i think it varies from region to region.
