On the West Coast, we have a place called In-and-Out Burgers. Their meat is always fresh, never frozen, and they have fresh cut french fries. The best meal is a Double-Double with cheese, fries and a chocolate shake! And when I am in Los Angeles, nothing beats Fatburger (Isn't that right you So. Cal people???)

I'm a native SoCal who came to Fatburger and In-N-Out late in life. In-N-Outs are great w/just grilled onions on them. I wish they had bacon, too.
Now as for Fatburger, I'm only a turkeyburger eater there, w/my favorite onions and bacon as the topping.
BTW, Fatburger is owned by Earvin Johnson, a multimillionaire businessman PKA "Magic."

The best burger chain is Fudruckers. Period.
Back home we have this local place called Scotties. It's an old style drive-in, built back then too. Great stuff. Also, there's a bar called the Blue Room that has killer patty melts.

I took my (real) little sister to In N Out tonight. She had a #2 with grilled onions, though. Since I don't eat red meat, I get the same but without meat and it tastes just as good. Nothing beats In N Out.

In-and-Out is the best! I just had a #1 combo (Double Double-- no tomatoes, with onions-- with fries and a chocolate shake) on Saturday. You haven't been to California if you haven't had a burger from In-and-Out! I love thier fresh fries too! Yummy!

I love White Castles! Whenever I'm back home in Ohio, I head to the little Castle right away.
Speaking of Ohio, some of the best restaurant hamburgers I've ever had are at the original Max and Erma's in German Village in Columbus.
Here in Denver, the burgers at My Brother's Bar are outstanding.
How they're garnished depends on my mood on any given day.

best burger EVER
If you're ever within 30 miles of Terre Haute, you have to go to this bar in town called Charlie's. They have this burger called the Tweetie. You order it with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, ketchup, mustard, pickles, bacon, grilled onions, some fries, and a pitcher of beer. It's an experience in and of itself. mmmm, tweetie....my mouth is watering, I think I need to take a long lunch (about 3 hours) and drive to TH and get one!
It's the first place most alumni, from the past 25 years or so go when they come back for homecoming, pig roast, or anything else in town. It's just too bad you have to wait until you're 21 to experience it, of course, I think everyone would be about 50 lbs heavier if they'd been eating those since freshman year!
