My other favorite is In A Child's Name with Valerie Bertinelli. The book is good too. This is where the sister marries a Dentist who beats her and kills her and denies it. Valerie Bertinelli fights to raise her sister's child.

You really took me back on these. I am a Lifetime Buff (embarassed). Outside of The Burning Bed, In a Child's Name, and Murder of a Cheerleader, I also love:

1. The one when Sarah Jessica Parker was a drunk and she had these kids and they kept getting sent to foster care (one was Sallie Struthers) and they end up going back to SJP. They were singing John Denver's "Country Roadddddddddd, take me home, to the place, I belong, West Virginia, Moutains Mama, Take me home, country roaddddddddddddddd"

2. The one when the girl is killed by her "best friends" and left in a stream or river. Then, the best friend moves in with the dead girl's family to cover her tracks and take over her life. It was starring Patti Duke and Tiffany Amber Thesis.

3. Tony Danza's split personality kills his lil fast ass teenage duaghter.

4. This man was married to two different women and was living a double life. I think he ends up killing one of the wives

5. Any Danielle Steele movie

6. When the family had an "invisible child". I always crack up on this one b/c they be talking to the child and everything.

I don't know the name, but I liked the one where there were 2 mothers - one wealthy and married, and one single and poor. Their 2 children were accidentally switched at birth, and one of the children had some sort of brain disease later on.

This reminded me of the one where the husband has been embezzling money from the college's alumni fund, fakes his death, moves to New England, marries another woman, and his real wife doesn't find out that he's still alive until SHE'S hit with several years of back taxes!!

Then there's the one that's based on a true story: a man has an affair, has his wife (Joann Kerns) bumped off, and denies it to his 3 sons. I was just thinking about that one last night, as Dennis Farino plays the attorney, and says to him, "If you cared so much about your wife, then why are her cremeted remains still in a box at the funeral director's?"

Well, like everyone else, The Betty Brodrick stories are some of my favorites. Meredith Baxter-Berney played the heck out of that role!! I think every man needs to watch those movies as a warning.... lol

I love anything with Nancy McKeon or Patty Duke in it.

One of my other favorites is the one, I think it is called The Face On The Milk Carton (or something like that) about the girl who found out that her parents were actually her grandparents (or so she thought) until she saw her pic on the back of a milk carton.

I also like the one with the real skinny lady from Who's The Boss (I can't' think of her name) but anyway she marries men and then poisons/kills them for their life insurance. Well, she ended up getting caught because the last man she married, she faked her own death but then reappaeared as his dead wife's twin sister! As if people would believe that mess. lol

This reminds me of the true story about the Florida babies really switched at birth (which was also the title of the movie). The switch was discovered when one of the girls developed a fatal heart condition (which also killed her birth mother) and her parents did not have the same blood type.

All the Danielle Steel movies: Rememberance, The Ring, Family Album (? dunno if that's the title...but the one with Jaclyn Smith as the movie director). Those are always worth watching.

The eating disorder movies: Hunger Point, Dying to Dance

Homeless to Harvard and that movie with the Veronica Mars chick raising her brothers and sisters while in high school...both were good.

The most recent one I saw was "She's Too Young" with Marcia Gay Hardin. Half the kids at her daughter's HS got syphillis and a bunch of STDs because they were screwing everybody. The daughter got it too because she gave head. That movie scared the isht outta me!

Patty Duke has the best Lifetime movies!! I LOVE "To Face Her Past" w/ that girl from Growing Pains playing her daughter that needs a bone marrow transplant and she has to ask her other daughter (the one she gave up when she was young) to test and see if she's a match and she was played by the one that played Andrea on 90210. Then during the movie, you find out that Patty Duke REALLY had a past! That was goood!!

And I loved how she slapped her daughter's so called best friend in A Killer Among Friends at the police station and all the cops just stood around looking at her. That was good too!!!

If I'm not mistaken, Kimberly Mays (the surviving baby) went to live with her birth family after a judge ruled that she should be returned to them.

She's had a troubled life since then:

-She sued to "divorce" herself from her birth parents because she wanted to call Robert Mays her legal father

-She ended up running away from Mr. Mays, the father who raised her

-She moved back with her birth parents, only to run away to the YMCA. She went back and forth between the two sets of parents

-She married young and had a son, only to lose her son to the courts because of poor parenting skills.

Sad.

My favorite is the "Perfect Mother" with Tyne Daly

Tyne Daly is the title character here, and that's a good start, as she's well-known as a fine actress. When Ione Skye finds a guy she falls in love with and marries, of course she gets his family in the bargain, but she never counted on anything like mom-in-law. It appears that she is the ultimate control freak when it comes to her son, and this causes friction between her and the daughter-in-law. This war between the two escalates until the couple must break up, but by now the couple has had a child and grandma is not going to give up "her" family's grandchild so easily.

This sounds like the movie my daughter taped and watched almost every day until we finally hid it from her. If it is the same the name of the movie is "Switched At Birth".

Today I watched the movie called "The Spring" with Kyle MacLachlan and it got me thinking about the stuuuuupid movies.

This one was about the dad and son who accidentally ran into a husband and wife trying to flee a town with water -- supposedly from their "Fountain of Youth" spring. The people of this town treasured this spring because it was a healing source and it kept them youthful.

But when it came time for your 100th bday they drowned your ass in the town fountain. Yeah.

Another stupid one that comes to mind was the one called "The Lottery"...or at least I think that was what it was called. Starred Keri Russell (Felicity) and Dan Cortese. If your name was picked for the lottery, you were stoned to death.

...I wonder how they come up with these storylines, for real.

Lifetime Network = where every guy in the movie gets killed within the first 15 minutes.

...although I will sheepishly confess to getting caught up in a New Year's Day "A Baby Story" marathon a few years ago.

I only have one favorite....

...Sex, Lies, and Obsession with Harry Hamlin and real life wife Lisa Rinna (the irony of all this was that didn't Lisa Rinna pose nude (and pregnant) in the September 1998 issue of Playboy? Go figure...)

There is another Lifetime movie I would like to see that came out earlier this year about a teen hooked on Internet porn, though I can't remember the title.

Right now I am watching Deep Family Secrets with Angie Dickinson. Not a bad movie.

I also liked that movie "Odd Girl Out". It kinda touched on the ish I used to have to deal with in elementary/middle school.
