Going Greek

There's a movie called "Going Greek" that was recently released -- but I've never heard of it:

I just loved "Legally Blonde," but there are some interesting things to note:

Didja all see her paddle in the beginning sequence? That's the DG crest, with the letters changed.

And in the book, somehow the author got away with mentioning the actual sorority names. Elle Woods was a Delta Gamma (which they essentially kept for the movie), the woman she defended, Brooke Vandermark, was a Theta, and the stepdaughter, Chutney, who turned out to be the murderer was a Kappa Kappa Gamma. The book was awful, btw. Don't bother reading it, and I'm not just saying that b/c a Kappa was the villain.

I know that this post is kinda old, but this past weekend there was a movie on TNT or USA Network or something like that. It was called "Heart of Dixie", and it had Ally Sheedy, Phoebe Cates, Treat Williams, and Virginia Madsen in it. It was about this sorority girl (Sheedy) in a southern school at the beginning of the civil rights era. She has her "awakening" as the school is about to racially integrate, and she realizes her true calling. It wasn't bad, especially the sorority scenes. I must say that I enjoyed it...Has anyone else heard of this movie or seen it???

Wasn't Hillary Swank in it?

This movie is the previously mentioned, "Dying to Belong". Now that I think about it, Hilary Swank might be in it. Jenna Von Oy and "Zack", Mark-Paul Gosselaar from Saved by the Bell are in it, too. I have to admit that I love that movie. Its soo cheesy and totally makes greeks look bad, but I love to laugh at it!
