Even if some girls had been flashing their thongs, this was still uncalled for. The inappropriate behavior was flashing the thongs, not wearing them. This woman had absolutely no right in the world to do this to those girls and need to be slapped and sued. Lord knows that's what I would do!!
What has this world come to if the type of underwear that your child wears is now fairgame for schools to regulate. If those girls want to wear thongs, then that's between them and their families. That is an issue that schools shouldn't even come close to. Underwear does not cause problems, the people wearing the underwear do.

California Educator Punished for Thong Check
Jun 18, 2002 2:31 pm US/Eastern
SAN DIEGO (AP) -- A female assistant principal was demoted for lifting girls' skirts to make sure they weren't wearing thongs to a high school dance.
Rita Wilson's thong check April 26 in front of male students and adults had enraged parents, one of whom threatened to sue.
The Rancho Bernardo High School administrator, who has tenure, will be reassigned to a teaching position, the school board decided Monday.
"I'm very disappointed and deeply saddened," Wilson, 47, said as she wiped away tears and hugged supporters.
An investigation by the school district concluded Wilson "went far beyond the grounds of propriety" with the underwear inspection.
Students said Wilson lifted girls' skirts before they entered the dance, and told those wearing thongs to go home and change.
Wilson said she was concerned the combination of revealing clothing and suggestive dancing could lead to sexual assaults.

I think the motive was to deter young ladies from being "unlady like and showing their assets to the world" the point is, we live in a society with rules, laws and codes of conduct. What the teacher did was in violation of law that Americans deem imortant; most importantly the right to privacy. She could have told the young ladies, that showing their underwear would not be appropriate and sanctions would be taken. She could advised them on being appropriate etc. but thats about all she could and should have done

Was the directive to do this "check" given from the central office of the school district? The administrator should have gotten it clear from officials, first before she decided to CHECK ANYTHING.
I see why so many people have the attitude that "I'm not touching (saying anything to) anyone."

Are you serious? She wrote on the child's face? She was reprimanded, wasn't she?
I know teachers are stressed, but dayum...
1. get a stress ball
2. leave the room for a couple of seconds
3. count to 10, 20, 30...to regain your composure
4. say a prayer
5. get out of the profession
6 get a journal

WHAT!!!
Y'all, I am not a mother yet, but I can already see that when I become a mother of school-age children that I will need a very good attorney because I would be "straight ghetto-clockin'" on a teacher if she wrote on my baby's face!!!
Kids will be asking my child "dag, I didn't know Cita was your momma:! *lol*

Is this woman related to R Kelly?
Hell Naw...
More needs to be done than just have this woman "demoted". I consider what she has done to be a "form" of pedophilia and molestation!!!
Any grown woman who looks up a "child's" dress to "see what type of panties are worn" is SICK and should be criminally prosecuted. The girls who were subjected to this probably feel just as "violated" as a child who is inappropriately touched. There are sick people out there who get their kicks off this type of mess and she may be trying to play it down with her reason, but this woman is really sick.
This woman needs to be investigated further. I sincerely believe that if investigators were to visit her home "unannounced" they would probably discover a whole slew of of child porn.

@ AKA2D'91 and HoneyKiss
Yes, she wrote on the child's face I think the little girl forgot to bring home a signed note, piece of paper, homework, or something. Anywho, the teacher thought she would put a reminder on the girls forehead so she would not forget. As far as punishment goes, I do not remember but whatever it was I am sure it wasn't enough. If that was my child, a few of Bernie Mac's tactics would have kicked in .

I thought this sounded familiar. Yeah it was a white teacher and a Black elementary school student. Heffa if you want the note signed either call home or pay a visit.
Cuz like HoneyKiss said, I woulda showed UP and SHOWED OUT. Everything I wanted to say to old girl woulda been written on her face as well.
