While as A Proffesional, I Do Not Have Hang Overs!
But, used as a conjuntive adjetive, the hair of the dog usually works!
Who In their right mind is going to take a hot shower upon coming home smashed?
If you feel like whoofing your cookies do it! Male look bad but will help!
Drink liquid, sugar water as you are dehydrated and have low blood sugar!
I used to play Doctor when I was young, you know 18-25!

WATER WATER WATER
Due to my knowledge of partying I too have had my far share of "hang overs" I prefer to call them "recovery time". For my Recovery Time I always drink at least on LARGE Bottle of water before I begin, and then follow up with subsquint water during the duration of "RT". Also I throw in some food at some point so I am able to attend that nites swarees as well
Hope this helped

If I know i'm going to be drinking plenty (this weekend we had our own little version of Mardi Gras.. very big hoopla!) Thank I make sure to drink plenty of water, and try to stay away from eating terribly greasy stuff during the day. And when I get home, I try to drink at least one glass of water, or if I can, and some toast, crackers, bagel, something bread-like before I go to bed..

I knew somebody who was big on gin and tonic. When they got wasted they put a bottle of gin by their bed, so in the morning they could pour themselves a fix-me-up. It did great for getting over the hangover. The only problem was he was drunk again by noon...lol.

Aspirin should be avoided while alcohol is still in the system, it can cause bleeding in stomachs already irritated by excess alcohol. And acetaminophen, or Tylenol, can aggravate liver damage. Your liver can only breakdown one thing at a time.
Alcohol stops a hormone in the body from absorbing water.
The best remedy that I have heard of is to pop a couple of B6 vitamins drink a glass of water and a virgin bloody mary. Repeat in the morning.
If I know I am over the edge I will make myself throw up if possible and start drinking water. If I'm just really buzzed and don't want to go any further I switch to water at the end of the night.

My advice for the morning after one of those nights where you ended up playing stupid bonding games over dozens of Corona Lights and finding out waaaay too much about your sister's ex-boyfriend, wake up on your girlfriend's couch with your boots still on, locate your purse under a pile of pizza boxes and randomly soaked dish towels (don't ask) and rally the troops to pile in the Explorer to head to the local fast food place. I swear by curly seasoned fries, onion rings or anything greasy from Jack In the Box or some fast food restaurant. Our favorite combo is curly seasoned fries dipped in ranch with a strawberry shake.
If you are having a mild hang over from a night of dollar shooters, then work out. You will sweat out the hard alcohol, or so it feels. I swear, I can smell the tequila and what not being purged while I'm on the eliptical machine.
Or if you are having a morning after where you are immobile and can't even fathom getting so much as apple juice past your lips, flip on some Sex in The City and vegitate.
Oh and don't take that hot shower the night that you come home inebriated. Chances are you won't make it out of the shower until you are rudely awakened by a roommate and "Hey, you ok? wake up! You alive? What the hell happened to you?"
Good luck.

My cure for a hangover:
Grab the sexy man next to me and shag him rotten... what a pick me up!
BTW That was a joke, I have no man, but if I did that is what I would do. The only alternative: I always take two aleve before I go out and I typically don't have a problem. Before I go to bed I eat Taco Bell and drink a Dr. Pepper... in the morning, VIOLA, if I had WAY too much to drink I still feel like crap, but at least I am not hungry.

I tend to wake up after a night of drinking feeling ok for the first little while. I continuously fall prey to the 'oh wow! i'm not hungover!' misdiagnosis. After years of going out, I still have not managed to clue in to the fact that it just hasn't hit me yet. I NEVER get mild hangovers. I become completely incompacitated to the point where even lying down is uncomfortable and the thought of water makes me nautious, as do the reprecussions of shoving a glass of water down my throat regardless. I usually end up in the bathroom again. Because of WATER!!!
I wish I had the presense of mind to drink water when I get home. But usually I find my way to my bed and collapse.
The only cure I've found that works, really only works for me once I'm in the post-dizzy/nautious stage of my hangover (so, usually for me, around 1:30 in the afternoon). I drag my butt over to the 7-11 around the corner and get myself a large slurpee. Don't ask me why but that ALWAYS clears up all of the remninants of hangover (usually lingering extreme headache and yucky belly).
And SATX*APhi, your friends are wrong. They were probably bothered you were trying to sober your friend up . Given the fact that drunkeness and hangover is caused by dehydration to the brain (seriously!), water is always the best thing to have.
Cheers!

EAT before you go to bed, drink a glass of juice. Your body needs the vitamin C and eating a bowl of cereal or even just a banana has saved me from many many hangovers.

I agree with amycat. As they say, "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure." Another suggestion is to avoid drinking drinks that are too sweet.
