Cool

I love Aaron, too bad he's married! I loved the Michael Jackson story! And the NRA plot was hilarious, too!

Embarrassing Black Person: I think Aaron covered them, but I guess I'd add Ward Connerly.

The Boondocks Animated at Fox Source: Variety Tuesday, August 12, 2003

The Fox network has ordered a pilot for a postential animated series based on the edgy comic strip The Boondocks, by Aaron McGruder and seen in 350 newspapers nationwide.

The Boondocks, which McGruder debuted in April 1999, revolves around junior revolutionary Huey and his gangsta wannabe brother Riley, who move from the inner city to their out-of-touch grandfather's home in the suburbs.

Once given a greenlight, the series would likely be ready for launch in the 2004-05 midseason.

In addition to writing the pilot, McGruder and partner Reggie Hudlin continue to hammer out an animated feature treatment of the strip as well.

Talking Yeah! (Raisin' my Fist)

This would be the bomb, but I wonder if "The Man" would actually ok this being put on TV in syndication (sp) without it being "lightened-up" a bit...

I am all for it as well, but you're right the probability of what we read everyday when it comes to Bush 'n' em making it to the TV is slim to none.

Oh and the book will be out on 9.23.03

isn't it kind of ironic that The Boondocks would be on Fox since they're veeery conservative and Aaron McGruder always pokes fun at them anyway? I guess that's capitalism, go with what sells

I predict that Aaron McGruder will ANNIHILATE College Hill by the end of February in his 2004 Most Embarrassing Black Series.

I know I am embarrassed STILL.
