Really. What is the name of the book. I might have to check it out.

i didn't really care for the book too much. maybe because i didn't go to a black college and just really didn't relate too well. i just thought it was a very simple book and kinda...well, boring. also i thought it put too much emphasis on the "sorority" aspect and how your sisters can bring you through. now don't get me wrong, my sorors and my sands has helped me get through ALOT, but there are some things that i had to get through on my own to become the woman i am today. sometimes Zeta (or any sorority) won't suffice. sometimes it requires you and God to get through some situations. i would have liked to see more of that dimension.

I read it, and was not that impressed. It was a quick read, but I wanted her to get more into the girls' lives. Guess I'll have to read her next book...

I believe Tajuana J. Butler's other book is called Hand Me Down Heartache, it's more about Nina, the dean. I've purchased that book as well as sorority sisters.

I thought sorority sisters was a pretty good book. It kind of answered a few questions i had inside my head. I am not in a sorority but interested in joining one in the future.

THANKS SO MUCH

I really appreciate this thread because my sorority sisters and I were really interested in reading books about sororities (more that don't cover the pan-hell experience). After one of my sisters read Sorority Sisters we all got a copy. It's not the best book, but it does cover some issues that minority greeks encounter. If you have any more suggestions to read, I'd really appreciate hearing them. Once again - thanks for the thread!

I liked the book Someone gave it to me as a gift and yes it was an easy read and enjoyable. She gave some good sides to having a sisterhood with a sorority
