I'll be going out to dinner with my boyfriend and then spending a quiet night at home.

I pretty much don't have a choice But I will be hanging out with some friends at Dave and Buster's for V-Day. It will be fun. Other than that, I plan on wearing black to work that day.

This is the first time in the last two years that I will have a man to celebrate Valentine's day. Unfortunately, we have been feuding in a fierce way that may lead to us not even wanting to celebrate our love for each other on VDAY. I had intentions of going all out for him since he did a very good job for Christmas and my birthday (which was back to back gifts, Dec and Jan) but with his attitude, the brother may gets nothin' at all!

I love Valentines Day. Im a newlywed and being married is such a good feeling. My husband and I go out of our way to make each other feel good. We splurge on gifts and say nice things to each other all day. We do those things all year round but V day is our time to really go overboard. When you guys get married youll see what I mean

It's so wierd to read my response from last year.

I'm still single. But I think I'll try to go out with my homies on V-day. I don't want to sit at home and brood about how men make me bitter bitter bitter, lol.

And besides, my Mommy is always my Valentine, regardless of who is in my life. I'll buy her some flowers.

That's a sweet sentiment. Don't know if I'll get extra flowers because thanks to my older sister, my Mommy always has fresh flowers all over the house. But I definitely will pick up a card tonight.
Now as for me, I'm very single and I don't know what to give myself. I always treat myself every day.

Valentine's Day is just February 14th. Another day. There are 364 more just like it. I am not going to do anything special, but I might go out and revel since it is a Friday.

Post Some Valentine's Day Facts...

According to the American Greeting Card Association, an estimated one billion valentine cards are sent each year, making Valentine's Day the second largest card-sending holiday of the year. (Christmas is the #1 greeting card holiday; an estimated 2.6 billion cards are sent for Christmas.)

The majority of Valentine’s cards go to (believe it or not) teachers! Kids come next, then moms, wives and girlfriends.

110 million roses are sold every year in America during the three days leading up to Valentine’s Day. 73% of those flowers are bought by men for the women in their lives.

In addition to the United States, Valentine's Day is celebrated in Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, France, and Australia.

Americans spend over a billion dollars on chocolates for Valentine's Day.

Casanova, the notorious mack daddy of 17th century Europe, used to eat chocolate to get himself in the mood for doing the do. Montezuma, emperor of the ancient Aztecs, ate chocolate to increase his sexual prowess and stamina.

The first heart-shaped box of candy hit the market in 1861. It was created by Richard Cadbury, son of the Englishman who created the Cadbury Brothers’ candy company (the folks who make those chocolate, cream-filled eggs for Easter nowadays. You’ve seen their commercials, the ones with the bunnies clucking like chickens.)

Songs written by Brian McKnight, Stevie Wonder and Lionel Richie are among the most-performed love songs of the 20th and 21st Centuries. That’s according to a new report by the songwriter’s association ASCAP. (American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers. ASCAP keeps track of how many times a song is played, either live or recorded, so that the songwriters get their performance royalties.) ASCAP put this list together in honor of Valentine’s Day.
