I say short hair. I seen a lot of guys who have had long hair and then they go through that transition. And tada!!!! It's like they are a whole new person, I think long hair on a guy hides the guy. The Short cut or having short hair on a guy, I think is not only sexy, but makes him look classy and cute

I love short hair, but I need a little something to run my fingers through!
No facial hair or (even worse) back hair allowed! I don't like a man to look like he's wearing a sweater when he takes of his shirt!

I like preppy guys, so short hair is a definite thing for me. I think long hair looks unkempt and unprofessional. So long as it isn't past the ears though it is usually okay. And mullets are so OUT!

If the hair is straight, and if you're Asian, white, or hispanic neck length is attractive. But, if black keep those perms out of your hair, I do not want a James Brown nor Al Sharpton!
If the hair is curly, of any race, keep it low or shaved. I don't want a Justin Timberlake nor Malik either!

Like Ilovemyglo (Sarah), I tend to like trendy-preppy guys, so I have to go with short hair (specially the spikely kind of I just woke up, but look nice kind). But it does depend on the guy. It can be a little long, as in a little past the ear, but not too long. Bald can be good sometimes too.

I prefer short, because it's part of a clean, classic look.
I can tolerate texturizers, but absolutely no Jheri Curls.
Bald is also wonderful. Look at Michael Jordan, Chris Webber and Kevin Garnett.
Long, straight hair on a brother isn't too attractive, IMHO. That look should be saved for women.

Soror, I do not know what it is but I can not take a man with a process! Be it texturized, curled or outright relaxed, Straight stringy hair is not ever cute on a black man IMO.

Short hair all the way baby!
I can't stand guys with long hair....for some reason to me it makes them look lazy....I don't know why that is!
I prefer a guy with short hair he can somewhat style (does that make any sense?!) Basically I love my husband's hairstyle!!!
Happy holidays y'all!

On men past their 30's, I like shorter hair. Young guys, I love beautiful, clean, longer hair. We called it soccer hair, the kind that was longish on top but shorter around sides...not exactly a bowl. When I met my Hubby, he had shoulder length hair. I loved
it.
On black men, I have to say short is attractive. I grew up with the handsome faces of Harry Belofonte and Sidney Portier. Compare that style to Prince in Purple Rain...no contest. Is it Seal who has the shaved look? I like that too.

Generally shorter...but it depends on the guy. Some guys I can't imagine looking better with anymore than a lil' bit of hair. Some guys look totally natural with it longer.
That being said, it's awfully nice to have it long enough that you can tousle it with your fingers. Most guys have such nice thick soft hair - it's fun to play with.
But NO WAY should he take longer washing and styling it than I do or use more products! i.e. wash shampoo a little gel/mousse/etc. blow dry is fine. Crunchy hair is bad. Sticky hair is bad. Taking 1 hour in the bathroom while your shampoo (lather rinse repeat), conditioner, leave-in-conditioner, humectant, emulsifier, volumizer, shine agent, gel, mousse, styling spray, super-hold hairspray, and God only know what else all congeal on your head is totally NOT OKAY!

short short short! I don't mind a "jar head" style hair cut but definitely short.

It depends on what you're considering "long". "Metal hair", mullets, waist-length--no way. I REALLY like mops, shaggy dos, and what JAM called "soccer hair". Here is an example of an ideal guy cut...for me, at least: http://images.amazon.com/images/P/B0...1.LZZZZZZZ.jpg
I grew up in a military town, so I equate crew/buzz cuts with scary military fathers. (in reality, they probably weren't that scary, but definitely looked strict). All the nice, cuddly civilian fathers had longer hair.
