DEFINITELY get in touch with the station manager, and write a letter to the local paper. Be sure you point up these 2 things:

-You're not upset that you didn't get a meal, you're upset because you made a commitment and the other party didn't follow through.

-You are working for a cause that means a lot to you (since one of your brothers is afflicted with the disease) and so this makes your shafting doubly upsetting.

Hi Tom,

My source doesn't list e-mails, but they have a website at www.wjxt.com and there is a button for "Contact WJXT" and then a pulldown menu for a number of departments.

Also, I think getting in touch with the newspaper is a good idea. Sometimes the relationship between broadcast and print journalists is somewhat strained. Use it!
