The response from Sigma is interesting. I can't see sponsoring any type of event with a chapter that accepts this type of behavior. While I agree that the attitude does not represent the organization it does speak to the current members of the chapter.

This is one time that you and I are on the same page! After this incident, I would never sponsor anything with these people! Talk about guilt by association. If the other members at that party didn't object when they first saw or learned of the intended appearance, then yes they are just as guilty. Just because they didn't put on the blackface themselves doesn't make them any less guilty. It makes them cowards for standing by and remaining silent.

I don't attend that university; so I really feel I shouldn't comment on it. Based on what I just read, I can't understand the actions of the Sigmas. Almost as importantly, where were the other African-American students/organizations? The actions of these dudes clearly demonstrate what they think of us; so why continue associating with them? If it can be proven that other members knew about it(thanks AKAtude ), then the whole chapter should be punished.

I'm so tired of our people being so forgiving. Why do we forgive so quickly? How would that university had responded had the the cop been a Nazi, and the nigga a jew?

We all are disgusted by the showing of these members of delta sig phi, ATO, etc. Matters like these aren't to treated lightly, by any means neccesary.
So what if they have blacks, jews, asians, etc. that joined; to come back and say that they are all against the behaviors which we have seen from them since their inceptions. I can't sit well with that. Who wanted to ride Spike when he made his movie b/c they thought this past was behind us. C'mon covert racism is extremely real.

Some people forget why we were founded, and why some of us like myself joined in the first place...we were well aware of our surroundings. We could see that some members of these frats/sororities or just random people on the yard don't like us. I don't always want to breed violence against violence but some folks just have it coming to them...

I saw all of those pictures and I must say that I'm thoroughly pissed off!!!!!! What they did must have been very funny to them and to the girls who posed with them (yes I called them girls, because real women wouldn't have posed in them photos!!! ). I hope that the ques sue the pants off of them and I hope that the Sigmas come to their senses and dissociate themselves from those clowns. They need to have their chapter revoked for at least five years, and if after that time they pull some sh!t like this again, the chapter should be erradicated completely.

I read that the Louisville incidents included a BLACK TKE member dressed as a Klansman.
I related this to one of my older sorors at a meeting I went to Saturday. She suggested that the kid get a lobotomy. Agreed -- and let's order one up for the parents, too.

We as apeople need to recognize that there are those who fear us. Us meaning different groups of black men and women who are not only educated, but understand the importance of service to the community. So in order to demean us, they try to portray us as ignorant goons who only wear FUBU ( another company who should look into suing these bastards). Keep your eyes open!

The more I think about this leads me to believe that we should be e-mailing the university and chapter/national organization of this fraternity.
